When I had a SubC, I played around with different straps. Usually only lasted a little while before I put the bracelet back on, but I don't think they looked bad.

Rubber B. First time ever attempted to do it alone and didn’t within half hour. Ordered the proper tools and watched a few YouTube videos and figured it out. Real easy. Just be careful not to scratch up the lugs. Maybe put some tape around it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I did it once, put a NATO on my Sub Date. Thought it looked great at the time, then realized that I don’t know better than Rolex & that in the tropics, when one sweats and after a while, it becomes quiet obnoxious. So no, not a particularly good idea.

Natos look pretty cool on 4 digits, but I much prefer factory bracelets on just about everything else.

I've been tempted several times, but stop when I realize the submariner bracelet would be more comfortable than any strap. I haven't ruled it out though.

My 5 digit stamped clasp feels like trash so I have to wear it on my Rubber B for comfort sake.

I used to wear a rubber b on my deep sea but quickly changed back to the oyster. While I do like the look of some of these watches on non original straps posted in this thread I find myself sticking to what is originally on the watch. To me nothing is sexier than an oyster bracelet on my sub or the president bracelet on my day date.

The Rolex bracelet is an integral part of the Rolex watch.
So, while I personally wouldn't do it, many others do and have come up with some good looking combos. BTW, my opinion means little, folks should always do as they please. Sent from my SM-A520W using Tapatalk |

Sure. Why not. I just get an Everest strap for my Polar Explorer II. Nothing beats the bracelet for me but this is a nice summer alternative.

SD43 on a 22mm Isofrane.
Soft, supple and thick. No taper - 22mm end to end. Also have the 20mm version for my 114060 and 5512.

I keep going back and forth on this topic. I currently have my SD43 on the original oyster bracelet and love the feel of it, I am curious to see how it’d wear on a Rubber. The thing that has held me back, is the bracelet is perfection and part of me thinks why would I put a nice watch on a rubber band...that it would somehow make it look cheaper.

I think it’s horses for courses.
I am not into bracelets but I have a 16710 coke on a jubilee because I think it suits. I have an Explorer 2 polar on black rubber and a bluesy on blue rubber. |

I’m reluctant to. Omega and Tudor make me laugh where they sell a shoddy rubber bracelet version for about 100 less than on a bracelet. What a joke. As if the steel bracelet is worth only that extra more.
