Hi Velitsko,
Sorry to hear about the 'muggers' and I'm glad you are still in one piece. Like Harvey (only worse at it!) I cannot put into words my feelings but I'm just glad you are safe Si |

Wow Velitsko!! Very sorry to hear about that. You are correct though, a $30 phone is no comparison to your safety. Very glad things turned out the way they did for you. As for the criminals, apparently they have some sort of conscience.

Just saw this thread. Well done Velitsko, and great that your Rolex went unnoticed during the encounter. Do you keep it insured?

But after this i am seriously thinking of insuring my watch Quote:
Well at least he got a mobile phone which he is going to sell it probably for 2-3 doses of heroin. Why would he need a SIM card if he is inteding to sell it

Vel sorry to hear what happened to you mate!
One point though, my office is at the centre of Athens and i have not been attacked by anyone. Indeed there are lots of beggars and something has to be done about it. Incidents like the one that happened to you though are very very rare in Greece. Also i can't come to terms with your claim that foreigners usually are being attacked, i think it is quite the opposite my friend (gangs are gangs and most of them are foreigners and they will attack at no discretion, but thank God they are still very very few compared to the rest of Europe or the States). I am in criminal courts everyday so i know that what i am saying is at least statistically correct. Greece is still one of the safest countries to live and everyone who has visited the Greek islands in particular should be able to acknowledge that. Again sorry to hear what happened to you buddy! |
