I wore my GMT LN in London last Christmas. I’ve seen better watches than mine. So your GMT isn’t a big deal.

One thing I’ve learn’t over the years is never enter into a debate / argument about the right to carry with a pro arms American.

Just let them get on with it. To me and you carrying a weapon for defence or deterrent seems like madness. Simple culture and environmental differences.

There is a lot more to it than meets the eye.

Despite loving the USA, the thought of everyone carrying knives or guns in any British city would make this a truly horrible place to live. It’s simply what you grow up with.

Just came back from a month there. You shouldn't have any more to worry about in London than you would elsewhere in a big city in the US. There are bad parts in London, but I'm assuming that your 'banking business' won't take you to many of them! Safe travels!

And what exactly is he meant to do about it? Stop/Search every youth in London to see if they are carrying a knife which the UK Government deem legal to buy on the internet if you are over 18..i'm talking Rambo knives..thats not his decision

On a side note, does anyone know if it’s safe to wear a GMT to Scunthorpe?? The wife has booked us a week in a two berth static caravan.

Thanks to citizens carrying, we liberated ourselves from your country.
Food for thought.

Well as he was a big advocate of getting rid of stop and search due to human rights, cutting the police force by thousands in London, wasted millions upon millions on pathetic cycle lanes instead of getting more police on the streets. How’s that for starters?

Worst mayor we’ve ever had. Can’t wait until the useless c&@t is out on his ear.

I was in London in September and on a ride in the tube a guy was dozing next to me wearing a platona, he didn't appear worried. He was a commuter off to work in a suit.

Well when only the criminals carry weapons that's not a good thing, is it?

Central London is fine. Like all very large cities, there are places to avoid, but it's hard to be definitive, since so many decent areas are close to sh*t-holes. A case in point: I lived in West London for a few years and my street, as well as those immediately around me were fine, but there were a couple of pretty bad areas close by, which ultimately led to me being car-jacked at knifepoint; this was around 20 years ago.

Like others have said, York is a beautiful place and you'll have no problems at all.

None of that addresses kids able to carry knives and any mayor would have the same issue. They need to treat a knife with no reasonable purpose the same as a firearm..5 year stretch. See how many kids carry them then

Not illegal knives.

Undocumented chefs.
