That’s a turn of an event.

Time for you to do business with a real dealer. Not some scammy loser on the Internet. You seriously did some Matrix stuff right there

WOW! Great news and happy to hear you got your funds back.

A similar thing happened to me back in the day on a Subaru forum. I got scammed out of $1k worth of parts and the scammer did the same thing to 20 or so members. We managed to build a case with the FBI and got him locked up for 2 years. I never got my money back, but it was nice to know he lost two years of his life behind bars.

That's honestly the best news I've read all day, and I've read some nice things. Very happy for you, and even happier that the scammer was stopped dead in his tracks.

Having said that, I'd like to thank you for calling @Jizzle01 out, and given that he's a pledge member, I think it'd be prudent for all the mods to investigate his standing a little further.

Ooh is that one available?

OP, I am so happy to get to the end of today’s posts and see it turned in your favor. Wow! Thank goodness!

We all need to exercise due diligence and be cautious. I have some TS on here that i deal with regularly and they are 100% solid.

Stay alert. Be skeptical unless you are working with one of the very few long term sellers on here. That’s my opinion.

I blame Rolex with their stupid games that forces enthusiasts to go to back alleys to get the watches we aspire too. Yes, from time to time something will go wrong.

Buying a Rolex is now a terrible experience. That's a fact.

No, not a fact. I've bought three of them recently from a well known TS. Never had an issue.

Haha thanks.

Some ADs have really high customer service/business standards. They're great when you deal with them. Others fall short of that by varying levels.

The problem with paying (especially pre-paying) for a particular watch via wire is that if the AD doesn't hold up to their end of their own deal, the only way to dispute the transaction is to take them to court. Ick. No thanks- I'll opt for the credit card company's protection.

I have had endless issues with American Express and Capital One over fully legitimate disputes and chargebacks where I was either not delivered something for my business or the item was damaged upon arrival or broke within a couple days of ownership. I’d hate to see how they treat a $20k+ watch transaction. I find them to be like insurance companies where they’ll find every excuse to not take liability. Have you ever disputed a charge higher then $500 with a CC company?
