Unlike most on here I am VERY pro diamond.....but in this case, I think the brown sub dials help bring this watch together

I prefer the diamond marker version best. Less busier which is a good thing on any Daytona.

Another vote here for the chocolate subdials, but if they offered that with the ice, I'd choose that.

The chocolate sub dials tie into the bezel perfectly, just like the SS white dial version.
Now if you are talking DD40 diamond bezel & diamond dial or even fluted bezel & diamond dial totally new discussion. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk |

Lume for me on the Daytona. If I want diamonds on my dial I’m going Day Date. All awesome watches though

I went with diamonds on my PtDD, but the chocolate subdials on the Daytona are too good to pass up.

I love how the diamond dial just blends in but that said I could possibly see changing it for the other dial at some point if I ever found the chocolate dial with lume...

The only two mens watches I like with diamonds are the pt Daytona and the Patek 5170P. I guess you could say I have “a type.” Blue dial, platinum chrono with subtle baguettes. Lol
That said, I prefer contrasting sub-rings on a Daytona as the tone-on-tone takes away a bit of the chrono look. I do think the baguette dial is very elegant, understated for what it is, and more “formal.” There are no bad choices here, IMO. That said, I went for the base model.

While I'm not usually one to go for diamond dials, the baguette dialled Platinum Daytona is one I would have. That is what I voted for.
