Tod Carty is an English soap star, very popular with the public, whilst competing in Dancing on ice this happened live.

One of the funniest things I have ever seen.

Shocking But True

First, let me say that people who know me well know that I tend to be a private person. Hopefully, none of them will be reading what is about to follow, and I assure you every word is true . . .

When I was a very young girl, my mother arranged for me to take weekly tap dancing lessons. I loved them and looked forward to each and evey class. I practiced my lessons diligently during the week. At the culmination of this time-limited activity, my classmates and I were to put on a recital for our family members and friends. The teacher decided we would wear these teeny-tiny burgundy skirts. Our parents were instructed to dye a pair of white underwear burgundy to match them. Naturally, mom did as instructed.

Long story short: It's recital night and I'm dancing my heart out on the stage, but guess what? Mom forgot to put that pair of underwear on me. In fact, mom forgot to put any underwear on me at all. Thanks for the memories, mom.

It's really hot in this room right now. In fact, it feels like a pre-World War II Latvia sweatshop. My thermostat isn't broken, I think it must be my degree of embarrassment. If I don't frequent this forum ever again, you will know what happened - I died of embarrassment. Goodbye all, and goodbye mom.

Your Loving Daughter,
Faith

Watching Bruce All Mighty, the part where Jim Carey made Steve Carell do those funny sounds while in the tv anchor seat.

No, no - it's not the light sabre stuff. Why is it funny that an old woman would take a hard fall? I could understand if was some goofball guy, or even a big kid - but a poor old lady? Would you still be laughing if her pelvis or back was broken? That just seems mean to laugh at her.

something happend in the university when i was a student with my classmates and we still laugh our butts off when we think of it.

but recently two jokes, the picture of a girl from another forum sadly they closed the thread. the other one was a joke by our Mod Padi regarding a chili cook off and "him" being a judge. i was going nuts laughing at it

Sad fact is that, if she was hurt the clip would get more play. We live in a world where civility has been lost. I am sure the lady never wanted that event to have been posted on the internet for all to see.

Believe it or not, this is the first opportunity I had to sit down and read all the posts. A sense of humor is truly subjective, and in many cases, I believe in order to see the humor "you had to be there." For instance, there is a human tendency when people seem "full of themselves," to want to see them get their comeuppance (hence my initial post). As far as the old lady in the video, something tells me that was likely staged. (Look at her chair, it's on a spring and resembles more of an amusement ride!)

I'll share with you that my pet peeve is listening to some comedians with self-deprecating humor; I find that largely offensive and it gets on my nerves (i.e. Joan Rivers). Nonetheless, others really enjoy that type of comedy. I hope we can continue to post and have fun without hurting anyone's sensibilities. The point of this thread was to lift everyone's spirits, and how that is best accomplished differs from person to person .

Faith, that's very interesting about your thoughts on self-deprecating humor - I use it all the time, figuring it couldn't offend anyone but myself. I just don't see anything funny about laughing at another's misfortune. I used the example in another thread that it's the kind of humor the schoolyard bully would enjoy - the kid who liked to trip the other kids on the playground and then laugh at them.

As for the old woman falling - it's not a chair - we have the same gizmos in our city parks. It's a ride-on type of thing that sits on a big spring and kiddos can rock back and forth on it. It seems she mistook it for a more stable seat.

I'm with you on this, Faith - humor is an interesting thing. What one person would consider as funny enough that they couldn't stop laughing might bother another person a great deal.

Okay, I've brought the party down long enough... carry on...

I know it is a duplicate, but this made me laugh for a while...while driving...while taking a picture...while trying not to swerve....

For those of you wondering, this is a house air conditioning unit cut into the back of the Ford Explorer...

GROSS advisory - move on if easily offended

Hardest I ever laughed in my life was when my best friend and I were about 13 or 14. We were on his deck, eating a huge bag of Skittles. We started putting a whole bunch in our mouth, then drooling the rainbow spit off the edge of the deck to see how far we could get it to continuously hang. I finally had one that wouldn't release from my mouth. I started saying "get it off me..." over and over again, and shaking my head. My shaking got too vigorous, and the Skittles drool string whipped around my head multiple times. I'm now even as I think of this! We were in absolute hysterics!
