I have both, and they are not an alternative to each other. Totally different in terms of anything including appearance. Mind you Platinum became quite rare recently and price climbed quite steep. I bought mine at 60 k three years ago with the baguette dial. Currently you may not get it for less than 75-80 k.
So my advice would be get both of you can afford it. You won’t regret it.
