It's pretty bogus to go around misrepresenting the press release, when you know only about 1% of the readers will actually check to see if what you're claiming is true.

The press release refers specifically to the eight new 36mm Datejusts with gem-set bezels as being for "ladies," not to 36mm Datejusts in general.

To wit:
"Created sixty years ago, the Oyster Perpetual Datejust Rolesor is the world’s most recognized and recognizable watch, if not the standard-bearer of an art de vivre. Impervious to the vagaries of fashion, it remains eternally modern. And the new Datejust II Rolesor for men and the Datejust Rolesor 36 mm for ladies, with gem-set bezel, are the proof."
And later, in the section on the new gem-set 36mm Datejusts:
"The new Oyster Perpetual Datejust Rolesor, in this resolutely feminine version, continues the tradition. Timeless companion of women who are both sure of themselves and their aesthetic preferences, it is entirely adaptable to every attitude, occasion and lifestyle.

"THE CASE The 36 mm case combines optimal comfort and elegant refinement. Waterproof to a depth of 100 metres (330 feet), it now, for the first time, features a bezel set with brilliant-cut diamonds.

"THE MOVEMENT The Datejust is equipped with a movement entirely designed and manufactured by Rolex. It is chronometer-certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC) and has a power reserve of 48 hours.

"THE DIAL The dials combine a spirit of classic refinement and creative reverie.

"THE BRACELET The Datejust is available on an Oyster bracelet fitted with an Oysterclasp and Easylink extension link, or a Jubilee bracelet with a Crownclasp. Both features ensure optimal wearer comfort and the perfect finishing touch."
Then follows the section titled "OYSTER PERPETUAL DATEJUST ROLESOR 36 MM DESCRIPTIONS OF THE MODELS" which lists only the eight new diamond-bezeled 36mm Datejusts released at the show, references 116243-72603, 116244-63600, 116243-63603, 116244-72600, 116243-72603, 116244-63600, 116243-63603 and 116244-72600.

Again, the press release says nothing categorical about the 36mm size. It is only a description of the eight new ladies' models. Let's put this claim to rest.
Thank you. It's time someone put an end to the constant misrepresentation by more than one person of what Rolex actually said about the DJs featured at Basel. It's been creating a myth posing as fact on a discussion board that's supposed to be about, among other things, technical discussions of Rolex watches.
