This is 3 consecutive shots in a burst of 10 over a total of 0.5 seconds. Time span here is about 0.1 seconds. Note the movement of the second hand.

Wow. Nice.

For ZW experts. Is the striking time worth the double the price for a non-chiming ZW?

It's way way thicker. Definitely not as comfortable. Almost thought about going for it but when I tried it in Vegas last year...it was just too much for my wrist.

Personally the striking piece is too large for me. Less than 42mm compared to more than 44mm.

Congratulations! L&S Zeitwerk is in my target list for this year.
A true grail, black dial & WG case is the best combo IMHO

Thanks. Havent seen one in person. Just the basic one.

Seriously considering pulling trigger on a RG ZW. And since am
also recently enamored with MRs, was thinking if worth it to get the striking time OR just the basic and then hunt for another MR. A sonnerie might be out of my price range.

You probably already know this but just to be clear: the ZW striking time is not a MR, it just chimes on every quarter hour.

Yup. It’s more like a sonnerie but not quite.

Now, the ZW ST MR in Pt releases this year, while magnificent is not within my contemplation.

Now, am leaning towards just the basic ZW. and maybe just pick up a sonnerie later when opportunity presents itself.

I too prefer the non ST, watch is smaller and dial less cluttered plus the sound was rather weak when I heard it.

It's amazing how much is going on in the watch. It reminds of complicated music that always reveals new things when you listen to it more.

I don't think anyone touches ALS for horological bang for buck. I love that the brand hasn't been ruined by rappers and spoiled kids that have never worked a day in their life (yet).

I didn't see this coming.
Congratulations on this and it's nice too.

Congrats on a great watch! This is my grail as well. How is the timekeeping etc. ... and do you find it is "under the radar" for regular wear ...

Thanks!!!

Congrats. I love the Zeitwerk, especially the Date model. It's so cool I don't care if it is a bit of a "hockey puck" on the wrist. Would own one at the right price.

OMG! What a watch.
I had worn a non-working model on my wrist when ALS has a watch show in Dubai and just the sheer heft and finish of the price left me smitten!!

Most definitely my grail!!

Congrats and wear in good health!

The ZW is thick. But still wearable. Can just imagine how much thicker the ST would be.

Glad i got the plain ZW.

Thanks to all for inputs.
