What's the point? You post a question to a bunch of strangers and get honest replies, that's the point. He agreed to 4K because, in your own words, he doesn't know anything about it. I don't have a dog in this fight and couldn't care less that you are ripping your friend off. Hopefully, you can at least agree you are in fact doing that. You, me, and everyone else that reads this knows $4K isn't near the true value of that watch.

Actually, I may have to change my vote. Something looked off to me on the clasp etching/engraving. I pulled out a couple of my Rolex watches and took a couple of quick pictures of the clasps (apologies for the quality). I am looking at slope and distance of the lines on the right. His are parallel, mine have a slope or "hump".
The first one is the OTs Hulk (marked area red), the others are a SD50, BLRO, SKY-D. and a couple of 2020 and one 2019 Daytona. You be the judge or show me your clasps:

I don't think anybody here can tell you for sure. If it's from your friend that you can trust, buy it and send to RSC to get a certificate of authenticity. After that give your friend some more money for a fair price.

Finalised as far as I'm concerned. Stupid price. Stupid grandpa. Stupid friend. Three stupids. And bad etching.

$4k is not a good deal for a fake. Both of you trying to rip each other off lol. What a great friendship.

If the watch turns out to be authentic, I would tell the seller what the true value is, then ask him if he's still willing to accept 4k euro.
If he isn't, then raise the offer to somewhere closer to the actual value, but with a discount because of the age and lack of box and papers. |

Am I the only who finds it hard to believe that anyone’s grandfather would be wearing a Hulk? A two-tone datejust, sure. But a Hulk?

If it is a fake -- I'm not sure why I am spending all this cash at the AD
It's not a lie if you believe it. |

Bracelet to case fitting. Finish on the winding crown. Applied white gold indices are dull and lifeless. It goes on.
