Glad to hear a lot of others have similar opinions. I think the front/back exteriors look underwhelming at best (awful, if I am being brutally honest).

Were the pictures were taken in a junk yard? That’s certainly not helping perceptions.

Makes sense that this would be the next iteration - look at the current model where the C, E, and S all share similar design cues.
The refreshed E has the same tail lights. It will sell and sell very well. I’m sure it will drive incredible, technology will be off the charts, and the build quality top notch. As far as depreciation - any vehicle manufacturer at that price point that sells in mass takes a hit with the value. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Some exterior shots - reminds me of the tail on the S Coupe

While the tech itself may be impressive I still do not like the interior layout and controls. I am happy I went with my 2020

The 2020 is definitely impressive - it's my vehicle of choice most days. I think this will take the cake though...

The exterior besides the tail lights is very similar in my opinion to the previous generation S class which came out in 2015 - the Genesis came out in 2016 which was probably riding the coat tails of the 2015 S Class in terms of appearance.
Most manufacturer's share similar design cues at one point or another.

I'd never buy these type of cars because I'm poor but when I look at cars my first impression is always does the design have a classic look that will still be a cool design in a few years.
This, the front is not bad but the sloping back does nothing for me and looks weak. And all that tech inside. I just cringe. So much shit to go wrong. Very few new cars do much for me, that's why I love the classic design of Jeep Wrangler, Land Rover Defender, Toyota FJ40, Boxy Benz SUV style. Just my, one cent. (All I can afford.)

Lets others be the test cases Don't get me wrong, I love Mercedes, that is what a warranty is for and they will make it right. That does not make up for time in the shop

I never buy the first iteration of any car/boat/rv for this exact reason. A bit off topic, but I’m being tempted to break my own rule as I have two slots reserved for the upcoming Rivian releases (theoretically an R1T for me and an R1S for the wife). Maybe I’ll buy one and sell the other slot, I don’t know. Very cool product and I like how the company is conducting itself. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Like most new cars they are all morphing into one.
Is that a Toyota, no a Honda oh it's a Benz. |

Interior ambient lighting at near- eye level seems a bit potentially distracting. The touch screen is not well integrated, but then as the primary controller they had little choice but to place it as close as possible to the driver while preserving front cabin space.

There is nothing about the exterior that makes want to like this better than the previous model. The rear end is tragic.

Personally I like the interior a lot, however the exterior leave a lot to be desired. I like the previous versions much more. Feel like MB is losing it's touch a little and going back wards like BMW with it's huge grills..but that's another story lol

I wonder how the 'massive grille' thing became a desirable styling trend.
You see it on so many makes and it doesn't look good on any. I mourn the loss of proper 'bumpers' on cars. (not the US-spec ones on that old Merc) Now the whole front and back are moulded plastic. Minor damage can't be fixed without replacing the whole plastic panel.

Always found this video entertaining. Anyone that thinks they don’t make them like the used to - cars first and foremost should protect its occupants everything else is secondary. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
