I have the BLNR and a SubC. If I could only keep one of them it would be the BLNR. More useful complication for me and I like the pop of color and character.

Sub C and BLNR with Jubilee both are different watches.
My next watch will be 16710 Pepsi |

Both great watches, but imo the 116610LN is the best allrounder in the lineup. Brushed, black, and Glidelock. A BLNR, BLRO or CHNR could be a great compliment though. As could a Polar Exp2

BLNR depending on what else you have. The Sub is iconic but the little extra pop on the BLNR’s bezel is awesome.

BLNR. Should be as dress up or dress down as the Sub, thinner and more versatile. I prefer the GMT LN for those same reasons over both of them.

I have the Sub Date and the BLNR on a jubilee. They are remarkably different. The Sub gets more wrist time but I love the BLNR. The blue in the bezel and the jubilee gives the watch a bit of flash that the Sub doesn't have. It provides a nice counterpoint to the rest of my collection which is relatively conservative.
This might not make much sense, but while the BLNR is my favourite of the two, if I could only have one I'd go Sub. |

BLNR - GMT function rocks and more comfortable than Sub.

I have both a GMT (Pepsi BLRO) and a Sub-date and my verdict is that you should go with the Sub-date first. The GMT feels more comfortable to wear as it is a thinner watch overall and has a smaller case as compared to the Sub-date. However, it is because of these characteristics that led me to buy the Sub-date (after the Pepsi) as I wanted a more versatile and rugged Rolex which is good for everyday wear.

I always consider the BLNR to be an immature watch. Something I would have wanted in my 20s. I honestly don’t know why. Sub is the overall winner to me in the Rolex lineup. BLRO I’d take over sub as it is more classic. But in your post, I am taking sub all day.

I’d go 114060 over 116610 but BLNR over either
Mine has been glued to my wrist lately |

I have seen a fair number of BLNRs in the wild while traveling, but only one jubilee version. I have never seen a six digit BLRO. I have a colleague that owns a BLNR and for the longest time I thought it was an LN. I didn’t notice the blue as it appeared pretty demure in artificial light. |

I’d get both. They are both great watches.

Can you elaborate a bit? I thought the sub and BLNR (assuming oyster) have a very similar fit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Right now I think you will be able find the Sub C closer to MSRP and if wait maybe the 121670 BLNR Batgirl will come down price....

Would you own 116610ln or GMT2 BLNR batman?

I agree with the above. The LN was a versatile reference that gather the beauty of two worlds, that of a diver style and the one of the GMT. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I wear my batman a lot more than my sub. It is easier to wear. The black and blue combo matches a lot of what I wear. Hope this helps.

He is right. The blue and black go with anything and “pops” more than the basic black bezel of the Sub. It’s a lot more upscale looking if that is what you are after.
