Everyday some of them come in to share the joy but mostly they’re just here to rub it in your face.

You nailed it. Whenever people say they are more deserving of a hot Rolex piece than others, they are, simply put, feeling entitled.

As if there is some purity test to buying a watch...

These are consumer products, and people with more financial means get them ahead of me. I have no problem with that.

This is not necessarily who has more money, but who's willing to part with more of to buy watches (and stuff) to get the watches they want.

Just because you're a "real" collector (whatever that means) does not make you a better buyer or more deserving.

At the end of the day the AD needs to pay rent/salaries and maximize their income. whoever buys more for longer period of time will get the sought after watches because they believe these people will keep buying more for a longer period of time.

its all about $$$$$$

I’ll have to defer this question to the ex-wife.

She’s the only person I know who is continually acting like she’s ‘entitled’.

Anyone else is just being precious.

Answer is yes. If we were whinging about the lack of healthcare, education, food, shelter and safety etc not so much but this is a luxury and completely superfluous good.

I honestly don’t have any problem with the way things are. What fun is collecting something when it’s super easy to come by? I enjoy the hunt. I think a lot of the entitlement comes from those who can’t actually get their hands on a model they want or don’t have the patience to wait. I’m part of that group in that I don’t have much purchase history but I’m not complaining.
