Really nice collection. Now that you have had access to all of them sought after SS watches it would be interesting to know which one gets the Most wrist time and which one doesn't live up to the "hype" (in your opinion of course).

A triumph of original thought went into that collection! Really shows your character.
Must be quite easy for people to know what you want for Christmas :) |

This forum is hilarious lol
Excellent collection OP any one of us would be beyond excited to own all these pieces at the same time, hell even one of these pieces is a feat for many here. Idk if it’s jealousy or what that elicits the negative attitudes and sassy responses here but isn’t this all just for fun OP has the means to put this collection together either thru a great relationship with an AD or enough financial muscle to go grey and he gets bashed for being a hype beast. When any one of these pieces is acquired and posted as a stand alone in an “incoming” thread there is nothing but positive vibes and salutations as there should be.. but when these pieces are in the same place at the same time it gets an eyeroll lol None of these pieces are original anymore.. but that doesn’t mean that the OP only bought them to flex. Maybe they are extremely popular references for a reason.... these are some of the sexiest pieces that Rolex makes period The next step for me would be a gold president, if you like flying under the radar you could choose white gold or platinum to go along with your stainless pieces Congratulations and enjoy that beautiful collection !!! |

Amazing collection but why keep them in the bank? I'd just get them insured and enjoy having them around to look at when not wearing.

Swap out the PepC for a 16710 and the black dial Daytona for the black dial SS bezel variant and it would be getting around to my tastes. Lol at the pissy comments. Guy has a bunch of Rolexes, posts them on the Rolex forum. Hahahaha.

Wow some of these comments are ridiculous. As if anyone buys a Rolex (the most recognized and over hyped watch brand, period) to be original. Rolex doesn’t even maintain a very large catalog of references vs. many other brands, so how exactly is one going to ‘original’ in their choices?
I remember a time not so long ago when watch geeks bought sports Rolex because they were good watches, vs instagram fueled speculative investments for people that know nothing about, and don’t care about watches at all. OP, ignore the Chad haters, that mini collection rocks. Explorer is not represented, a 2 would look nice in there. Great pic too! -Freq |

SD4K and BLNR when I bought them in 2016 were not must haves. SD4K actually traded at significant discount to MSRP and BLNRs were in AD displays everywhere For years, I was told to buy the Hulk. Turned down numerous occasions because I didn't like it as it was too green esp with the green dial. Quote:

I'm glad you know what's hyped on Instagram, because I'm not on it. Quote:
But what's the difference visually if i have a WG Pepsi vs. SS Pepsi. Yes, i know... one is PM and one is SS. And course all the cache of PM, but what else? Maybe DD40 WG with olive dial or Daytona 116509 silver dial with black subdials Quote:
LOL! Yes OCD! Quote:
Quote:
I get a lot of variety and diversity out of my larger non-Rolex collection Quote:
I've been buying SS Rolex for years (and have stupidly sold off during that time). My only non-modern Rolex that I still have is my first Rolex: Explorer II (16570) bought in 2000 Quote:
Patience is a virtue :) Thank you Quote:
Thanks! Thanks! Thank you very much! Quote:

Good point. Perhaps I'm just old school with banks Quote:
Maybe DD40 WG with olive dial or Daytona 116509 silver dial with black subdials. Food for thought I actually have a larger non-Rolex collection. That said looking to expand to Patek, ALS, JLC. Maybe another Omega and/or Tudor is in the cards too |

Frankly, I don’t know why Rolex decided to make the fewest of this model. Personally, not my favorite. I am with OP in terms of the favorites, and not sure I would add this one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thank you ! Thanks! Quote:
If i were to get gold it would be WG I wear jeans/polo shirt for work. pre-covid / covid times. Haven't worn dress watch in 20 years and can't see needing one for the next 20 years Quote:
I agree on positivity comment. This is just a forum on watches. Quote:
Thanks! I too only obtain watches that are right for my wrist - otherwise I'd get SDDS James Cameron and SD43 50th anniversary - but they're just too large for my wrists Thank you Appreciate your feedback I don't need PM. Doesn't fit into my active lifestyle - but if i were to get PM it would be WG Quote:
Thanks Yeah the SD4K kicks butt. I love that watch. Thanks thank you Who knows maybe its 2020 The idiosyncrasies of human behavior when it comes to other people's successes. I certainly appreciate all feedback and the constructive criticism Quote:

Thanks! Unlikely will do the swap. I turned down the SkyD Blue - doesn't fit my wrist and wears like a dinner plate Quote:
Life is always about moving forward right? Thank you! I would love a to get the SDDS JC but it just wears too LARGE thanks! Quote:
Thank you Thanks Quote:
Everyone has different tastes. This is mine. Oddly couple years ago - TRF said I needed a HULK in collection. Quote:

I think the fact that these very popular and hyped pieces are «all used and slightly abused» should get you a Get Out of Jail Free card
Congrats with a really nice collection OP |

If i did get PM from Rolex it'd be WG anyways Quote:
Thanks! different people will have different tastes Quote:
Not sure....Perhaps another Tudor or Omega Or Patek? 90th anniversary JLC Reverso? Even I don't know LOL! I might buy a SWATCH for xmas Quote:
Overall most wrist time is Daytona - white Didn't live up to "hype"? I don't know because each watch was purchased because i really wanted it or marked occasion/event - it was predicated on hype. But my BLNR probably gets the least wrist time for what its worth Quote:
Fantastic mix of old/new/tudor watches thank you! Quote:
Quote:
Yeah that is interesting... One incoming = congratulations all around Showing a set = different story for a small minority That's ok. I know where I stand and what I have. Always happy to get constructive criticism. But clearly some are not. Thanks Quote:
thanks!! Quote:
You have to wonder why they bother coming onto a "Rolex" forum in the first place. Quote:
Thanks! Original or not, I buy and wear what I like. If some in the community have their feathers ruffled and can't deal with it... so be it. Thank you perhaps WG DD olive dial or Daytona 116509 silver dial and black subdials. maybe... Quote:

thank you Quote:
Thanks! "used and slightly abused" LOL! Yeah i wish they weren't but just a by-product of actually wearing the the watches to work/traveling/gym/ chores/etc |

i agree with others that you need some color and just wanna say gold watches fit active lifestyles too...yellow/rose gold go with anything like steel. at the end of the day a rolex is jewelry now and gold is no different than steel in terms of wearability
