Definitely not safe. The locals here seem to even be stealing the trees. Yikes!




Found some interesting locals. Hard to be sure if they’re the ones responsible for the tree theft or not.




The locals seem to have spotted me and came closer to get a better look. I fear they made a mark of me. Best to not take any chances.

Phew! Back into better neighborhoods. Yet waves of panic that my method of timing may not serve me well for much longer




This is the last shot I was able to take before losing track of time. I think I may have blacked out. Wandering dazed and confused for 2-3 more hours, perhaps in circles, until finally realizing how long I’d been walking for.
