I'm 34 and I find this video stupid. Would have been better without the voiceover and fake pandering to millennials.

I know Rolex has service recommended at 10 years, but didn't know it’s the same for new Tudor movements.

I wish Rolex was as forthcoming with all the details. However, that video was complete hipster crap.

Maybe it’s the younger folks that don’t like it. I’m 58 and thought it was fine.

I think it is right on the mark for what they are trying to achieve: Speak and appeal to a younger crowd who don't necessarily feel the need for a wrist watch (that's what you have an iPhone for, right?) but would like to have something trendy and "special" to distinguish them. Sport, fast-paced lives, trendy colours and unique materials. |

I'm 71 and the commercial music gave me a headache, which could be also allergies, and the visuals were way to frenetic, but I like the watches that I've seen and an 18k gold Tudor? Wow! It's not for me in that color, but I'm impressed.
I like the direction Tudor is taking. Even if the commercial is geared toward a younger demographic doesn't indicate to me that Tudor doesn't care about an older crowd. I don't pay much attention to commercials anyway. In fact, if I had my way, I'd never watch any commercials ever.

Still, nobody in the english-speaking world spells it 'diametre', and it's not like he was putting on a french tone of voice to try to convince us of a franco-swiss heritage or something. The French would spell it diamètre, with a grave accent over the first e. I'm on a waiting list for an FPJ Chronomètre Bleu and if it ever comes through I'll pronounce it properly and and spell it like that. But I'm not going to say a Tudor chrono has a 41mm diamètre case, because that would be silly. |

I had to dumb myself down a few decades just to watch it. Edits every 3 seconds, no wonder younger generations have ADD.

It's a hype video for a new watch aimed at a younger audience. What else would you expect?

I’m a lot older then 37 and have been grumpy since long before then, and I completely agree; this is marketed towards the facebook/apple generation, not mine.
(LOVE the new watches though) |

I’m 25 and thought that guy really didn’t fit my perception of the brand and the target audience.

The video for Tudor is refreshing and targeting the younger crowd in order to gradually built up it's fan base. Looking at Rolex, it has taken more than 50 years of clever marketing in order to reach its current status. Tudor only became noticable since 2013 after the launch of the BB series.

I don't think it was bad. The music and narration were a little annoying, as were the constant cuts, but the video is quite stunning and it was at least very detailed. Clearly Tudor sees itself as a bit of a disruptor and one that brands like Omega and Breitling should be very concerned with. The 18kt BB58 is a serious statement piece and I have a feeling it could be an extremely hot watch with long waits and grey market premiums. Tudor seems to polarize this forum with true watch lovers and the brand lovers that see them as the Rolex for people who can't afford a Rolex, sadly. There's no question that Tudor threads focus on the watches and the Rolex threads over the past couple of years are mostly about the market, pricing, value, and dealers. I've got all the Rolex's I'll ever want or need, so the Tudors are far more interesting to me.

I watched 1 minute of this. It’s awful. Screams “I’m Rolex’s younger brother” to me. Which it shouldn’t. Nice watches. But horrible video.
