They fixed the hands on the black explorer 2.
They are full gold now versus black and gold. Looks much better now. |

SO, will AD's "get what they get" from Rolex (GMT's on oyster or jubilee) or do they match customer orders?? Wonder if AD's would swap bracelets to meet customer wants? Or is the bracelet code on the tag? AD's used to swap dials back in the day, why not bracelets? |

I think others have posted similar ideas/questions, but I am curious if Rolex will let owners of the Batman/Pepsi on juiblee either buy the oyster or switch it to the oyster (if they redeem the jubilee).
I'd be pretty annoyed if I had purchased a GMT II on a jubilee recently and could not switch it out if I wanted to. |

For the rolex explorer fans there is debate now between 39 or 36mm.
The daytona meteorite dial I would have to see one to be convinced as the dial appears to be a little busy For me its what they didn't do as I am glad they never touched the BLRO on jubilee as I am chasing one from my AD. |

I think the new Skydweller on Jubilee is pretty hot actually.
They're a little chonky but I do like them. |

Eggplant becomes Datejust.
A sunray Aubergine dial makes the DJ36 an official entry for the Lady DJ lineup. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Not impressed with both Rolex and Tudor. Very disappointing.

Not new. Been on the DJ36 for a couple years. My absolute favorite though. If only they made it on the 41!

I think all the hype fiends wanted a bright rainbow bezel Explorer 2. The silent majority of people like me prefer the classic look for models and think the more gimmicky stuff like the Hulks are a bit silly. But hype life is very online :D

Oyster bracelet on the SS BLRO is perfect for me. All brushed would be better but I'll happily take the Oyster over the Jubilee. I rang my AD to express my preference. Since I am on their SS BLRO waiting list, I expect that the practical upshot is that I will wait twice as long for my BLRO now. Possibly longer.
I'm glad to see more bracelet choice available, although I question if it really is "choice" for SS Sky Dwellers and GMT Masters, since it's not like you can walk in and buy the one you prefer. You can't even order one with your preferred bracelet. The next delivery may or may not have the bracelet you want. If it's a SS Sky Dweller and it's your turn, do you grab it or pass? For a blue Sky Dweller I would not pass. For a BLRO, I would. Nicely played with the Explorer 2. A confident and sensible evolution of an icon. If it upsets the gougers, all the better. The notional second hand value of my 42mm Polar is at around +92% of what I paid my AD for it in 2018. Ridiculous! I won't be crying my eyes out as this value slides backwards. I'll be too busy wearing and loving it. Biggest laugh is reserved for the "Tudor beat Rolex" brigade. Huh? So Rolex beat Rolex? Rolex nailed it and Rolex didn't? Those marketeers in Geneva really know what they are doing. Full marks to them. |

I'm assuming the Daytona YG green has not been discontinued, along with the Platona. Correct?
Very disappointed as well. I like the Daytona in YG and RG with the meteorite dial, that's about it! Tony |

Very happy. BLRO on Oyster! Exp-II and Daytona remain un-harmed. AD phones are probably lighting up!

Nothingburger; well not quite, actually a net-negative for me, as I was thinking about a 39mm Explorer 1. At least it appears the Airking lives to fly another day.

Spent less than 10 minutes on the Rolex site and 2-3 hours on other Brand sites.
Excited to see lots of nice watches from other brands. Rolex has so many nice (photos) of watches but impossible to buy at retail so its pointless waiting for watches that don’t exist. Was never able to get an Explorer 1 39mm and now it’s gone. Strange but I now feel good knowing I don’t have to wait anymore for something I was never able to get. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

After all of that the JM, Platona and RG DD 40 are still here.
Over all I felt let down on the releases. Not one thing I want to purchase

Just my 2 cents. I believe news in 2021 are not over yet. Later in the year there will be really a commemorative edition of Explorer II.

i'm really surprised they still don't have any two tone rose gold daytonas or subs. i feel like that would be a home run with how popular rose gold is right now, especially the daytona because it's a hit with females

I'm disapointed with now that I have the older Batman with an inferior movement.
However, I think I might put my hat in the ring for the Oyster Pepsi. |
