You mean Daytonas pay dividends now? Incredible discovery.

I think your first step should be spending 50k at the Ad so they even offer you a chance at seeing a Daytona from the back let alone offering you one to buy.

Tbh, I'm even more bored of the ££££$$$/discontinued comment on every post as I am of the investment posts themselves.

OP - Best bet is to buy what you like, enjoy it and maybe it will be worth more down the road...
As far as the forum, I suggest you build up post count with a few thousand “congrats” on incomings and then you will feel the love here.

Buy what you truly love and wear it. If down the road you get out what you paid or more, that is just a bonus

A luxury watch like a Daytona is a fantastic investment. Except the ROI isn't in money, it's in the satisfaction and pleasure of having a beautiful piece of craftsmanship on your wrist whose precision is based on minute tolerances, regulated not by circuits, but by physics. Plus, that ROI is tax-free as it pays out.

Invest in one Rolex Daytona and you'll be set for life...If you plan on dying next Thursday!

If you leave a white and black Daytona in the safe long enough, eventually they spawn baby Daytona’s.

Rolex Daytona as a possible investment

Marcus,
Welcome! Buy what you like. Yes, sport references usually appreciate. But that’s not why you should buy one. A Rolex is not an investment. Many other, better investments are available. Don’t try to convince yourself a Rolex is a good investment. It’s not. It’s a watch; it’s jewelry.

If you buy at MSRP you won’t lose money.

Don’t buy to make money. And don’t put it in the safe and only wear for special occasions. If you have the means, buy one. Wear it every day. These are mass produced watches. They are a commodity, albeit kind of hard to get at MSRP.

Every day wearing a Rolex is a special occasion.

Anyone done a similar thing?

There is a considerable waiting list at present, what concerns me is if "after i hopefully" buy the watch is "if" i need to sell in 3, 4, 5 years time what the valve would be, appreciate its all about conditions etc but if it was A1 condition would it be worth the same, less, or maybe even more??

I like the Daytona the best, but are there other Rolex's which hold or go up in value?(better than the Daytona)

Many thanks
Marcus
Unless you’re a big fish, it’s unlikely you’ll get a sniff at a steel Daytona at MRSP

Buy an Invicta, in the long run, you'll make much more money.

Ask a grey dealer what they will buy it back from you for, you won’t be impressed
