Not to take away from it at all, but the magnification on your cyclops looks weak, but it is being blocked by the minute hand in the picture, so it might be fine. I had the "low mag" issue with my sub and had to bring it in for service to replace. Just letting you know in case you got one of those too!
Thank you for the tip- definitely something to keep abreast of as I had no idea. So far I can quickly glance with my naked eye and ascertain the date so I don’t think it’s too pressing but I’ll be sure to remember that. Again, there’s so many little quirks and issues that you have no idea about when going into the process as a newbie. Kind of like raising children. Good stuff.

I can't tell 100% if it's there on your watch though, so I might be wrong. Either way, you're right, it wouldn't be a significant issue at all.

Welcome to the club and congratulations! I'm sure it won't be your only or last lol.
Funny you should say that- shortly after pulling the trigger for this one, I came across the Datejust Turn-O-Graph (116264) with a sunburst blue dial. If I had to pick another, it’d be between that and a 28mm Ladies DJ in two-tone with a fluted bezel and champagne Roman dial, the latter I did have the good fortune of trying on at an AD during my pursuit of my 116234. The two tone of the 279174 would go well with my daily wear jewelry, a yellow gold name ring and brooch with four charms hanging. But then the 116264 happens to remind me of the qualities I loved about the 116622- the blue dial, the PCLs, slim profile…without the things I didn’t like the loud (at least to me) Arabic numerals on the bezel and the white geometric shapes for hour markers. Decisions, decisions. In the meantime, I can let this baby cool off and enjoy it now that NYC is opening up a little more.
