5513 in 1982. Waited long enough for the salesman to ring it up! About 2 minutes.

Two tone, white dial daytona.
Originally enquired, this year mid May, seeking a daytona preferably on OF, got offered the TT start of July. |

2004 I was 25 and upper level management in a company. The owner purchased Rolex watches for upper management as a Christmas gift. I received a black dial Explorer 2 (16570). It was my daily wear piece till 2016 when I bought my second and the collecting began. Still have the Exp 2, it’s not leaving my collection.

2019, I had 2 Omega’s and wanted something different, my wife suggested I look at Rolex, I picked a DJ41, it took 3 weeks for the one I wanted to come in, when I went to collect it I then ended up picking one out of the display as it looked better.

My first one was a 16610LV.
At that time (2010), I was looking at the 14060m ; but loved on first sight the 16610LV looking for love behind the AD glass. I told to myself "just perfect". Loved the green color, totally unusual. The price was enormous. 5000 in a watch, wow. I finally decided to buy a (grey market, not produced anymore) 16610LV for my diploma, at 27yo, in october 2010. I failed my last year. So I kept it home, not wearing it, for another year. Finally succeeded in january 2012, then worn it with pride, 13months later. More than 10 years later, it is still here. I bought since a 116600 SD4K, without a look at the price. Things change

14060 Sub in 2001. Still my favorite piece and it gets the majority of the wrist time.

1987. On a business trip in San Francisco walked into an AD and bought a 16013 Datejust from the case. Wore it daily until November '20 when I gave it to my son after buying myself a 2014 Daytona from a reputable seller.
