i was thinking wow why would u pass on a modern ceramic daytona at retail. if you don't like it u can flip it for mad profits.

but i realized it is 2 tone daytona...

2 tone daytona has never been a coveted or popular watch. also 2 tone is just.. not very great looking, put it nicely. certainly not my taste.

I'm just imagining a Venn diagram of all the Rolex watch purchases in a year, and this little circle for Blue SS Sky-Dwellers...and inside it this tiny bubble you have to use a loupe to see, for people who were offered it twice.

Honest, I CAN take a joke too (and some of the comments really are funny...), but can we be a little more sensitive to direct attacks on the OP?
(For what it’s worth, I also turned down a RG Skydweller the other day, but really had second thoughts as I was driving home. Then I remembered that the best reason to buy, is cause you love it. The OP doesn’t yet have the years of perspective... let’s go a little easy, can we?)

Thanks guys!

Lol, I spent to many years in the Marine Corps to be sensitive to what some of these Snowflakes might say so it's all good. People often type what they can't say in person.

Thank you for your service, Sir.

And I’m glad you can (and are) taking everything with a grain of salt. There’s a cute little book called “The Four Agreements”, and one of them is “Don’t take anything personally!”

Sounds like you don’t need to read this book! .

Hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend!

You went with your gut. And there’s nothing wrong with that.

It's a bit uncalled for to call those who gave you a hard time about your post "snowflakes" and keyboard warriors essentially. You were, after all, asking random people on the internet for reassurance about your decision to pass on a watch you didn't like... Let's put this into perspective a bit.

Although, I will agree that if we categorize any of the posts in this thread as "attacks" we are indeed becoming snowflakes.

Cheers, good decision to pass IMO.

Agree with this. My panda 116500LN is the watch I love to own, but my black dial 116503 is the one I love to wear. Either you love the way the gold and steel contrast, the gold hands and hour markers glisten, the beautiful gold lettering on the liquid black dial pops out or you don’t. I personally don’t like diamonds on a watch so I passed on one offered by my AD this summer during the worst shortage I can ever remember. I’ve never even thought about that decision again until I wrote this.

I appreciate and agree with a lot of the comments and have no regrets on passing on the offer. I just hope it doesn't offend the SA when someone doesn't want/like what's presented.

Offend the SA, haha. Just like you “offended” ppl here by calling them snowflakes? Get real. Tough marine afraid of little SA.

I typically acquire only what I like, not what is offered (exception was the 126711CHNR) but that has grown on me enough to get the band adjusted so I might actually wear it.
"nobody" buys the two tone that's why they are available - right decision

It would seem from you original post, that there was some 'second guessing' and possible regrets in not purchasing the watch......why else would you ask for others to comment and, more than likely, affirm your decision?? Just sayin'!!!!

I didn’t buy a Yugo GV, Chevy Vega, or a Ford Festiva today that I didn’t want. Phew, been waiting all day to get that off my chest.
