If given enough time, sell all of 'em except for the one my wife wants. If not given enough time, she can sell/gift/whatever, I won't need 'em . . .

I have two sons which aren't into watches. So when I go if they want them fine, if not, who the hell cares, I'll be gone. Hopefully someone that will appreciate them but I know for sure they will be gone and so will I...

Not sure about my son, but my dad and I have very different tastes. He has a two tone Datejust - if he ever passes it on to me I'm not even sure if it would suit me.

My father had a different taste, too. He liked dress watches. I have his yellow gold 1965 Omega Seamaster DeVille (before they spun off the DeVille into a separate line).

I could have the attitude of my father who said, I’ll be gone so I won’t care! When he passed, my brother immediately came around and demanded dad’s Bluesy Rolex. It was actually a $100 look a like which I had bought for my Dad along with his other citizens and Seikos. Typical stuff I imagine…

I’ll be buried with my collection. As many watches that can fit my arms. These are my last wishes. I shall use them to impress Charon and he will let me pass easily.

Will be giving some to the kids as they grow. Want them to enjoy together as compared to “remember me when I am gone”. I take my son with me to look and purchase new pieces. Important to have those moments as they grow up.

At the rate Rolexes are appreciating, I assume this watch will be worth more than most ocean liners by the time I kick the bucket. Therefore, I will have a Squid Game hosted in my honor, where instead of competing for like 400 trillion Won, contestants play for one stainless Submariner.

The only thing I can say for sure is that I won't be wearing them.

Well, I'll be dead already. I have no plans for whatever happens afterwards. But my wife will naturally own it and she will decide. For now, I want to enjoy the moment.

I have just started thinking about this very thing, this is spookily timely! No kids, two unmarried nieces, a brother who hasn't worn a watch since his teens and doesn't comprehend my interest in them, friends who wear apples, samsungs or similar, my wife has her OP, so I am in a bit of a quandary! I rarely see my nieces, they live miles away, but we will be sitting all together for Christmas lunch, I will, if its appropriate, ask them if they are interested in owning one each, hopefully they will say yes, so thats got rid of 2! The rest, who knows, I still enjoy owning and wearing them all, and long may this continue

Neither of my kids are that interested in watches, my eldest doesn’t see the point of a watch, the youngest wears one occasionally, so between them they have minimal interest in my little collection.

So my plan, take them with me.

I feel like you guys aren't putting nearly enough thought into this important decision. How can a single answer cover all the bases? I've given this to our family attorney and trust he will execute accordingly.

My Rolex is willed to my nephew and the Tudor to my neighbor/best friend.
The other watches, I don't know. They're not worth much except for sentimental value (fathers, grandfathers...heirlooms ) ?!? Gotta think about that..!

No kids, so the wife can do what she wishes. However, If I'm last to go, I'm gonna rent a MMA octagon and have it put on my front lawn while on my death bed. Invitations will be sent out to friends and family indicating the prospect of owning said watches by competing in hand to hand combat. Winner takes all!

In all seriousness, I will probably give all my watches to the person taking care of me and changing my diapers. Its the least I could do.

Haha!

"Nurse, can you come in here?"

"Oh God, what happened?"

"I really made a mess this time. But before you say anything else... the Daytona is yours."
