But thankfully my A D contact talked me off the limb and said just hang tight. Give it some more time. It was tempting because if I found the right trade partner I'd have ended up with

326235 RG with Slate
126715 RB
116505, depending on hypothetical trade partner

Much rather have it go

326935 Chocolate. Box checked
126715 CHNR. Box checked
116505/116505. Wait continues

Boils down to if I am gonna have a OysterFlex model its gonna be a Daytona not a SkyD. Plus the OF SkyD was slate. If it were Chocolate it might've been a wrap. Alas the wait continues but I'm hopeful. I'm getting texts. Just waiting on the right one. Not like I cant wait a tad longer. I mean I'm not hurting by any means by waiting. Still have quite a stable in the meantime. Kinda proud of myself for not letting my lack of patience get the best of me. Plus my A D contact is an awesome guy. Cant wait to hopefully bump this thread with an awesome incoming versus my constant dribble lol
Oh. My. Goodness. I would kill for the slate.

Good luck, my friend.

Thanks Larry. I'm sure it looks great in person but I never even bothered to go by and look at it. Just couldnt see myself losing my Chocolate dial full PM with all the twists and turns I'd have to had done to end up with the trio I'm after and of course all the additional money involved.

Speaking of the dreaded money/investment topic I did take a peek at OF SkyD's on the Grey market just in case I wanted mine back and they are mostly going for what you'd spend via an A D. MSRP for us in the US is 41,500 plus tax which for me would be around 3k so I'd be in for 45ish and I've seen numerous on the Grey market BNIB with "asking" price in the 46's. So yet another reason I passed. Figured if I ever wanted to go that route I'd be fine regardless.

Another point is at 41,500 MSRP thats more than the full PM 505 or 515. Trust me I gave the "process" a lot of thought

But here I am rambling on again with no incoming but you guys are my soap box. My wife is tired of hearing all the plot twists and ideas I'm gonna bump one day hopefully with an incoming

What’s everyone’s thoughts on this beauty? Don’t see this dial very often and not many for sale…..

It’s a great reference, but I prefer my dials with contrast. It blends in too much with the Everose case imo.

I agree but it’s growing on me. Kinda has that 1 color baguette platona look, but without the different color bezel. I think it may be a rare bird too

I'm in the bay area. With all of the crime right now, I personally do not feel comfortable wearing a flashy gold watch out for a night on the town. Seems the news is reporting quite a bit of strong armed theft this day and age.

From an investment perspective this may make current fashion sense. Though I prefer to wear my watch every day with no worries.

To each their own of course.

It’s a beauty. I’m still chasing my 505/515 from when I started this thread and pricing has only gotten worse via the Greys.

Alas I’m still hoping one of my 2 AD’s come through. I’ve been told by one “I’ve got my eyes peeled for your next watch” and the other stated “Don’t sweat it, I got you”

Both comments sound hopeful but still empty handed. I would however take this beauty you picked if offered for the exact reasons. Tony has one for sale atm but at 77k I’m gonna pass at 32k over MSRP. Full Diamond hour markers have a MSRP of 45k I believe.

I’m sure it varies but it sure would be nice to have some type of estimate of how many A D’s get in a year of a 505/515. I’m not even dial picky. Just the model granted I have my favorite to least choices.

Agreed - and for me, SF = nothing. Oakland and Downtown SJ, under cuff. Everywhere else, most likely fine.

Msrp for the baguette sundust is 46.7k now. I wasn’t looking for this particular reference but I may not be able to pass it up as I’ve never noticed this particular configuration.

Well wait a minute. I thought you were supposed to get me one too? I had the wire ready

Congrats brother. It’s stunning. I was hoping to bump this thread with my own “incoming” but still no dice. Sooooooo ready to check this box but I’ve got no moves atm other than wait. Your pics aren’t helping either.

On a different note look at this pic. Appears to be a different color dial than yours but the Rolex website only shows one with full diamond hour markers, sundust. Which I think is yours. The one in my pic has the new style card and is BNIB. Wonder if its from a different year with just a new card or does Rolex not list all there dial options online? Interesting

I think there was a pink dial at one point. It’s shows that mine is new for 2021
, so I think the pink got discontinued. Just a guess
