It's a function I used to use often but tend to use less now. I've got a Carrera and a Speedmaster X33. That's all I need. There are plenty of stylish and pretty chronos to chose from but none more user friendly and above all legible, than the ones I have.

Since I bought my Carrera I have been increasingly working across multiple time zones, so I now have a selection of GMTs, which if I had to make a choice, I would keep first.

I am a chrono fan and have been ever since I saw the first Daytona and Speedmasters back in the 70s. They just sing to me. However, my appeal is aesthetics, since I have rarely used the chronometer to time anything.

I’m also finicky, because to my eye the two subdial variants like say the Tudor don’t compute in my mind, I’m left confused with “where’s the missing subdial”

Furthermore, those variants in which there are 3 subdials but where the movement has been turned 45 degrees (with subdials on the left) don’t appeal.

Basically, to please my aesthetic tastes there must be 3 subdials in the lower half of the dial that are nicely spaced, e.g. Daytona, Speedmaster, AP RO, Zenith chronosport, etc.

My 2 cents.

Agreed I don’t like the 7750 style layout.

Yes it is!, i had to save every cent at my part time job during high school to afford it at the time. It's been around the world with me. Super important watch to me.

Nice set! The Sinn looks great - how does it wear compared to the Speedy Pro?

I just recently got rid of my black bay chrono and lowkey regret it. It was just too bulky for me.

Ah. I’ve been eyeing the 38mm just for fit but that model of yours is magnificent.

I love chronographs since I used them many years ago in advertising video production...People forget, some of us had these watches for actual use beyond just telling time...

Agreed.

..my last 3 watches out of 4 have been chronos.....having said that I use the complication for many things....cooking something in the oven, how long I'm stuck in standstill traffic, keeping tabs when cleaning clothes, ...the possibilities are endless......

I think vintage chronos have so much character. Here’s an ultra rare late 60’s UG exotic dial I was lucky enough to stumble upon:

My first watch as an adult was a chronograph, in fact, it’s what got me into this whole crazy hobby. Haven’t bought another one and don’t really miss it… Not that anyone cares lol. Ok, toodles.

Love chronos. Enjoying this Zenith EP as I patiently wait for a 116518 Newman.
