I agree Peter, I much prefer to use reference numbers too.

But some people are not that bothered or in to it to remember all those numbers and the nicknames, however silly help people reference the different variations .

Don’t have a problem with nicknames.
I agree it is the Riddler.
Sort of a riddle why Rolex came out with this leftie
and placed the cyclops on the left
although I do think the watch will be highly collectible.

I don't always agree with you on everything Peter (although I usually respect your opinion), but on this point we absolutely, wholeheartedly, agree 100%.

I can just about deal with the nicknames that formed organically over time (like the original Pepsi), but the rush to force one onto every single new model is bit tiresome and childish IMO.

The left GMT and that’s it. No reason for a nickname, but Sprite makes no color sense to me lol

Silly nicknames used by silly people who even don't know which are Sprite's colours.

Well, coke cans don't have black either if you go with full color logic.

The GMT Coke makes more color sense imo. Look at the coke bottles from the 1980’s and then look at the GMT. But then look at the sprite logo, bottle or anything- it doesn’t resemble the destro GMT. I like the riddler a little better.

But at the end of the day, one of these names will stick and we will also start calling it.

I am almost sure they named blro pepsi because of the logo and not the product color, and then when black/red came to the market going with soda colors coke was the closest. But to satisfy the folks who are "riddled" why people are calling it sprite, here is your reason ->

Batman, Batgirl, Kermit and Hulk have found their way into mainstream use.

I don’t get “Sprite” or anything else, because it comes as a lefty watch only. Destro GMT seems to make the most sense, as everyone will know what you’re talking about.

Odd, my AD said "we don't call them that" when someone asked about a Pepsi. I've been corrected myself when I referred to a two-tone watch "We call it rolesor"

Suppose it depends on the AD.

It should be Sprite...because GMT's usually get Soda nicknames... Pepsi, Coke, Rootbeer and now Sprite..(of course there's exceptions)

Why do still have the Batgirl as your avatar if you parted ways with her?

If I’m being honest I hadn’t even thought about it.
