Why I’m seriously considering unloading my entire collection
It pains me to say it, but after +30 years collecting, the watch scene has (irreversibly?) changed. Whether it’s because of Instagram, YouTube or the abundant “watch influencers” that have sprouted up, I don’t know. It seems that more people than I am comfortable with these days are fully clued-up as to which model is which, and even their values. All over the US there appears to be increasing watch related crime, specifically targeted and very troubling.
I just don’t feel comfortable at the moment wearing watches that I worked hard to own. What gives? Anyone out there who can walk me down from this ledge? Or are many of my fellow TRF members also feeling the same?
