I bought my first ceramic 116710 in 2008. If I’m remembering correctly I traded my 16600 and $3000 cash for it.

I recall most Rolex are easy to buy from AD prior to 2017-2018. Many buy from grey market then as they were cheaper.

In October 2008, I bought a 116660 DSSD (black dial -- this was before the blue dials were introduced). I bought it preowned and paid $9400 USD, a bit more than retail, because these were not available on demand from ADs due to their newness.
