Hi Jim,

I watched Clarkes first hour last night and it looked like he was settling in. This morning I was pleased to see that he was still in and we were moving closer to the required total.

It seems strange to me that we can watch and listen to the Lunar Mission but can't see a ball miss a bat, a ball touch the ground or a foot over a line. Now I am not just referring to the Australians who are 'out' and shouldn't be but to all the cricket players at this level who deserve better. The technology available should be utilized to the full to stop these poor decisions by umpires as it spoils the game and it allows the umpires to win the game and not the players.

End of rant.

With only 209 remaining the last day could be worth watching.

Has Richie Benaud finally retired? Haven't been seeing him on tele lately?

BTW, today looks like going to be a very interesting day. It's seldom to see the 5th day on a cliffhanger

Congrats to England, an excellent result and after 75 years it is a great day for England and for cricket in general.

Start of third test, rain delay Australia won toss and bat. Max 2 hours play. More problems for Aussies as wicket keeper Haddin breaks finger in warm up and with England's blessing replacement Manou allowed

Big swing today in our favour...we'll just have to build on the bowling attck of today with our batting.

A draw looks the most likely outcome.

first hour and Aussies making batting look easy in the sun, looks like a draw unless Anderson can pull something out
