Figured I'd chime in here. I asked my AD to order me a jubilee bracelet. She told me it wasn't possible. I emailed Rolex and they told me I could send my watch in and get the jubilee. I asked if I would be permitted to retain my oyster and was advised that I could, but the jubilee would be discounted if I wanted to trade.

I went back to my AD, told her Rolex would allow me to purchase the jubilee bracelet.

The following day she stated she could order it. She had no idea and this will be her first one.

I decided to order from my AD so that I didn't need to send the watch into RSC. Just gave a 20% deposit.

Good stuff, what is the current cost? Curious as everyone is getting different prices

I also thought it was only possible to buy an oyster if you have a jubilee already, but not the other way around. Looks like I was wrong!

I was told the opposite at the RSC in NYC a couple of month ago. If you have a jubilee then no oyster. Shortage of oysters since it was new. Hopefully it changed….

In Germany Rolex will let you buy basically anything for your watch as long as it doesn't change your model number.

You can have standard dials replaced (and keep your old one), you can also buy bracelets to your heart's content. You can't however buy a LN bezel for a full gold Daytona for example, or buy a WG bezel for a standard Datejust. You aren't allowed to buy a bracelet for an oysterflex version either. Some things require a full service if you order directly through Rolex (dials), but in case your AD has a service department, they are able to order parts and install them for you without a service.

In case you request a replacement bezel or other case parts such as crowns or pushers, you are normally not allowed to keep the old ones. Rolex does actually provide a decent customer service, as do other watch companies. You just have to ask.

How do you contact RSC Dallas directly? Is there a phone number or email address you can share?

This is a very true statement, I had one AD tell me “note it’s not possible” the other AD said sure thing price was steep for a new jubilee bracelet but I’ll have it in 2 or 3 weeks he said.

Why are some $1900 and others $2100? Are the $1900 without exchange?

And I thought jubilee costs more than oyster?

I believe the 833-765-3900 number is not a direct line to RSC Dallas, just a common number to Rolex USA.

Oyster - $1900 + tax
Jubilee - $2100 + tax

These are straight prices for the bracelet (no exchange).

Bracelet purchases are a lottery.

I've been told that I'd need to surrender the old bracelet (Jubilee) as well as pay full freight for a new Oyster. It would need to be ordered and Rolex may "change their mind."

This is either a case of really bad internal communications to dealers or some general psychopathy going on at a watch company. Retail shouldn't be this hard.

I just picked up the oyster bracelet today for my BLRO. My AD ordered it for me about 2 weeks ago. They installed it and sized it for me.

I did not have to give up my jubilee.

It’s pretty clear. They will sell the bracelet but you must have it installed by them on the spot.

I want the bracelet separate and uninstalled, so if anyone knows an AD that will do that please share!

What's the big deal about whether it's been installed if they let you keep the old one? Just put the old one on when you get home or swing by your AD/watchmaker and put what you want on the watch.

Trying to determine if worth buying the new and selling this oyster bracelet (which is also new).
I don’t know about the jubilee cost, but I bought a TT oyster for my white TT DJ41 a couple of years ago and I believe that was $4k. I have several extra stainless bracelets for DJ and Subs that were $1500-$2500. All from my AD. The TT is just high.

You do know every time you remove/replace a bracelet you risk damage. If you don’t care that’s fine but some of us do

If you don't want the bracelet to ever be removed, then why get another bracelet? Not trying to sound rude; I'm just genuinely curious.

At any rate, the damage is minimal--especially if being done by RSC who does bracelet removal/installation all day, every day.

Perhaps you should wait until service and purchase the bracelet then when they have to remove it anyway to service.

I will say that I do understand not wanting just anyway to remove the bracelet. I personally wouldn't let an AD do it unless I really trusted them; I usually don't even let my AD remove/add links. However, RSC--I would trust them, and you have a lot more recourse through them.

RSC will not sell loose parts. If you are buying a bracelet, they will require it to be installed.

I miss the days of being able to pick up bezels, bracelets etc via watch makers with Rolex parts accounts. Now we have to deal with all of this convoluted nonsense and $2k for a bracelet.

Indeed, RSC is not in the business to sell spare parts to customers just to be flipped on the secondary market, I can understand why they want to install it on your watch.
