Cutting down and consolidating into 6-8 watches. Just like movies, music, books, articles, or anything else — editing makes it better.

You only can wear so many watches, and many of yours are pretty much the same.

I would say nothing more with Rolex. Why: Rolex has a few basic archetypes which all are based on. The sub/gmt/SD/yacht-master basically the same general look. Same with DD/DJ/Sky dweller etc.

I would opt for a iwc portuguese, navitimer, GS, something else. I value diversity to a collection be that movement, company, style, something. I mean it’s your dough, but time for some change.

fantastic collection my two cents
1. something PM on oyster flex for a completely different look(the new yellow gold ym)
2. VTNR then you’ll have all 3 steel gmts

Something either full YG or on strap/oyster flex.

Nice collection. Perhaps it’s time to start looking at other brands?

Since I’m a kid! Always loved watches. I know I’m open to modern Rolex no personality claims but tbh each of these was carefully thought out with many attempted first behind them. For ex, YM blue before I knew the chocolate right for me. Had new bluesy before realizing I prefer the gold text. Had DJ with batons and jubilee before knowing Roman best for me (grandfather had a Buckley dial). And I’ve got another box of other brands. First watch ever was a bulova marine star on leather strap.

Nice collection I have made similar changes in my collection to make it exactly how I want it.

Again I reiterate my earlier comment you absolutely NEED to try a full PM Rolex in my opinion there’s no other direction to go from where you are check some out!

Nice!! And I do agree! Did you spot the Smurf? Or you mean full PM in YG or RG rather than WG?

Yellow gold DD or a Yellow dial OP, will help balance the colours.

I know you said no Daytona but Daytona. It's the only answer. If not that then nothing, you've all covered besides for a Daytona.

Ah I did forget about the 116619lb from my original post, yes I did mean a full yellow of rose. I’m thinking rose is more your taste and the full RG chnr would be a great choice for you.

How do you find wearing PM over steel? Kinda surprised you don’t have more to be honest once I started with PM I couldn’t stop :)

Or the YG YM42 (no full YG) or the WG 42 Falcon's Eye (because that dial is amazing).

I know you said 'no' to daytona and daydate. But that's what's missing!

It’s had the opposite effect on me. It’s far and away my fave and I want to keep it special as only one. That said something in full YG does sound appealing. YM 42 or blue dial sub sound nice. Will think on it!

First of all, beautiful collection.

To me, you need a Dress Watch (preferably gold / leather strap (Crocodile) preferred) … not to compliment, or vary your collection, but for need / wear.

I just believe every gentleman needs at least 1 nice dress watch for formal wear, weddings, funerals …

I know there are people that will argue that you can wear a sports watch … but there’s also the argument of wearing the right watch to those occasions.

Hulk would be my first choice, second would be a white SkyD. BTW, congrats on a great collection.

This somewhat appeals to me. I’m curious: how are you trimming these watches down? Selling them to a dealer? Craigslist? eBay?

Amazing collection. I would definitely add the Explorer. Totally different and an all-time classic. In your current collection I like your Explorer II the best. Such a great watch!

That slick new WG Yachtmaster 42? You get some PM, rubber strap and that black bezel. Would fit in perfectly
It would be between these two for me. Nice collection.

OF PM (SkyD or YM) or Explorer I.

If you want to get away from Rolex go get a Speedmaster.
