I find that the GMT has more useful functions but that's a personal needs thing. Chronographs don't get used as much I imagine, especially with a Daytona where they need to be unlocked before use.

I'm traveling so using my GMT, but when I'm home I use my Chrono a lot....to time the cycle when I'm cleaning clothes...using the oven...boiling pasta...

GMT is quite similar to the Sub. You can sell the sub for the GMT then you have Explorer, gmt and Daytona. That would be a nice trio

For me, the GMT is indispensable as I refer to GMT several times a day logging my ham radio contacts and doing flight planning. I often use the GMT bezel for timing parking meters and cooking times. The GMT has water resistance for recreational diving and has a date window.
The Daytona is pretty, but the dial is cluttered with subdials which I would seldom use, so the GMT function trumps the chronograph function. I'd ditch the Daytona and buy a BLRO, but that's just me.

I'd keep the Daytona for no other reason than it would be the most difficult and costly to reacquire if you change your mind down the line.
And while I personally wouldn't want a collection of just Sub, Daytona, and GMT as I'd want a more under-the-radar option like the Explorer every once in a while, you do have to consider that the Explorer is already going for not too much about retail+sales tax in the secondary market. Not too farfetched to imagine Explorers and even ND Subs being fairly easy to acquire at ADs in the future. Daytonas, never. So I'd unload the Explorer and Sub for the GMT, and then patiently look to reacquire both at retail. |

Keep Daytona or Acquire GMT
You’d probably regret selling the Daytona. I wouldn’t do it
I wear the Daytona more often than the GMT. Which is such a pain to set. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If it were me, yes absolutely I’d get rid of the Daytona and get the GMT. GMT size is better and dial much cleaner. Having a clean, functional dial is under rated in my book.
