GMT IIc is readily available, you can walk in to an AD and get one any day of the week. Not with the Daytona.....something to think about. But ultimately, it is what you like! What put that smile on your face, that is what watches do for people like us!! :)

GMT! Fantastic tough, beautiful watch. The Daytona is looking outdated and too 'shiny', many, many people only bought because of scarcity. It's face lacks clarity. Why not get a pre-owned GMT and a Speedmaster - far nicer looking and better history than the Daytona.

Very well said John. Why buy something when you could buy another model you like and to think, its much cheaper.

I don't think the Daytona is that scarce anymore. Last time I was at my AD he volunteered that he had a white face and black face sitting back in the safe...

You should get the one you want more. Neither will be a good investment though I suspect you could always get your $ back out of each (with the way prices are these days).
