Exactly. Plenty of people are excited to buy stuff here that isn't my taste. I either feign enthusiasm or don't comment.

To OP: that is a great score! They obviously liked you. Enjoy the watch! (I am truly enthusiastic, BTW, lol)

When I was a youngster, My Dad taught me if you have nothing good to say, keep your mouth shut, that's a lesson you were never taught. The OP was and should be thrilled to score a watch, a watch that a high percentage on this forum wishes they could score at MSRP!! I'm going to ring the bell, school is in session, Son. It's in very poor taste to rain on the OP's parade, perhaps someday you will be offered a watch of this caliber, but with your in-poor-taste comments, don't count on it!! May I suggest reading

Great story and excellent watch, congratulations!

My BLRO actually came on jubilee, but I switched it to an oyster bracelet which I prefer more with this more colorful bezel. Either way, bracelets can be switched, so the fact you got a BLRO is awesome!
Wear it in good health.

You’re definitely on a roll now.

You have absolutely zero social awareness if you think your response to the original post was ok.

No idea why you’d bring politics into this.

If you have nothing good to say, keep mouth shut. This is an absolute fallacy. People like to use this line to stand at high moral ground, and only weak people believe that . Same as only losers believe “nobody loses, everyone is a winner” BS
You last piece of the statement about if I can acquire this caliber is purely your imagination that I don’t even care to refute.

Yup. This. Oyster is just more clean and modern somehow - on GMT’s and most things for me to be honest.

So expressing a different opinion is equivalent to be lacking of social awareness?
If one and only one voice is allowed to exist in a society, this voice must be a lie

Now you’re just trolling.

The OP didn’t ask for your opinion period. You clearly don’t get it. Have some decorum or you won’t last here long.

So in your life you have never expressed any opinion unsolicitedly?
If so you have my sympathy. What a sad life.

As for if I’m going to last long or not, I’m curious is there a rule here that a person can not express different opinion if not being asked? Kind of “speak only spoken to” rule? Wow, that’s new to me.

Congratulations OP.

When I bought my left gmt two weeks ago, my rep/AD was super secretive about it too. They didn’t want any other customers to see the watch, or hear our conversation about the watch. This wasn’t the case a couple years ago. Things were still unavailable but they would bring a hard to get watch out in front of whoever. Now it’s more like a drug deal.

As a commercial airline pilot I agree with my BLRO on jubilee. Dresses up our drab, monotonous airline uniforms. Paired up with a nice MontBlanc pen, gold tie bar and RM Williams Chelsea boots I try to upgrade the look.
I will mention to my wife of 41 years I want to be treated more like a celebrity--certain that will go over well!

I reacted this way as mentioned as I have reunited somewhat with a Pepsi that was always meant something for me. My first watch ever was a 16700 that I wore for 20+ years no matter what I was doing. Sold it back in 2019 and regret it so much. Today made me reunite with my one and only :) Here is a picture to share..

Congrats on getting back into a 16700!

Thanks all.. Quick update. First watch I've owned running spot on without gaining/losing. Happens to be my favorite Rolex ever! Hope it stays this way with possible 32xx problems circulating. Actually, I'd rather have it run 5 seconds fast now to prepare for the future :)
