I really like the recent Chopards but this is a miss. As you said I also much prefer the salmon.

It’s the new inverse. Mine will have the same movement. I did tantalum and some other changes so my price was low 6 figures. Wait is probably 7+ years atm.

Either those prices are wrong or they have already changed them, now on website 45k for gold and 52 for platinum.

Solid gold movement is unique and very cool.

I can’t speak for the inverse but get on the list ASAP. After my initial inquiry into the brand I waited a year to put a deposit down on a Vingt-8 and the wait time went from 3sh years to 7sh. It’s just getting longer and longer but it’ll definitely worth the wait.

What’s the typical deposit for Voutilainen?
30% or 50%?

Journe was full deposit but a couple of months wait for the piece

For the AD I dealt with it was a flat $20K deposit. No quote on the final price yet cause I’m waiting on a mock-up which will help me decide between two different dials/metals. I think the price is locked in when you confirm what you want. There’s others who are much further along in the process than me who I’m sure can provide better info.

Similar thing happen to me. Would have been a 2 year wait or so instead of 5, but here we are lol :-)

Only have 4 years left…

De Bethune also announced a Starry Seas in purple. I can’t find any articles about it yet but there’s a YouTube video from Revolution Watch. I wasn’t the biggest Starry Seas fan because I felt it was too pricey but this looks really nice. Anyway…someone buy this for me :)

The way the dual time hand completely covers the hour markers is an interesting choice that’s personally not for me otherwise cool watch with great dimensions.

This one is chunky at those dimensions, but the Freak in general is a really, really good series of watches.

Had the time only FreakX and loved it, especially given they go for ~$10k - $12k. Just a lot of watch for the $ and a very very unique movement.

Simon Brette just put a teaser on their Instagram. Looks like they might be announcing the next version of the Chronomètre Artisans. If true don’t worry I will complain non-stop about how I can’t have it. Also it looks like it might have some purple elements which means I’m gonna be insufferable.

You’re gonna be absolutely mad. As will I.

I like these. The use of lacquer on the bezel is a nice touch.

Agreed, the Ulysse Nardin Freak is a good solid $10k choice. Am curious, do you know servicing costs and turnaround time?

I posted about this earlier in the thread but at that time there was only a YouTube video. Anyway, here’s the best watch of W&W for me; the DB28Xs Purple Rain. Limited to 25 pieces. 90,000 CHF.

I took these photos from Instagram.

If I could buy this I would. So damn nice. I mean my god I want this watch.

Not for me but pretty cool that the customer can choose what the stars looked like at any point in time to make the watch unique.

I am really loving the Cartier releases. Tortue, Santos and Santos-Dumont are pretty cool

This is near perfect. Geneva Seal movement and slightly smaller case so they can move the small seconds down a bit = perfection.

Isn't it just Cartier's own movement?
