IMO the watch is a fantastic piece of engineering, but is far too large and borderline comical. Needs to be worn on a very large wrist, or even over a wetsuit as intended!

Yeah, that saved me some work because I always take off the 'fliplock' wetsuit extension link anyway. I never liked it. The Deepsea Glidelock clasp is the best quick adjustment I have ever used. Even when I got my first Seadweller in the early 1980's I took out the wetsuit extension and installed a couple of regular links in it's place.

I always wanted the added protection of a layer of neoprene over my watch while diving. I have always worn my watch under my wetsuit sleeve, or under my drysuit glove. And I never wore one in sat with hot water suits.

As far as the dial color on the JC model goes, it is like a breath of fresh air. I have owned so many black dial Divers including probably a dozen Subs and Seadwellers I am not missing them in the least. There is nothing more toolish or utilitarian about the plain black dial over the JC dial. Not IMO, as a professional Diver for many years, anyway.

That being said here is a nice picture of my SD50 with plain black Dial under the sleeve of my wetsuit.

The SeaDweller 43mm, Ref 126600 still comes with the Wetsuit Extension link. At least it did when I bought mine in 2017, but I removed it and replaced it with two extra regular links.

You can see it in these pictures of when the watch was new.

I have both the JC and black dial first generation deepsea,two of my favourite watches. In the summertime I wear them on a rubberB. After a day of wearing you get accustomed to the weight and proportions. Have not tried on the latest generation but am told the wearing comfort has improved.

I have the new iteration JC. I also have an 8 inch wrist so the 44 mm is perfect for me. If you don’t have a skinny bony wrist, the case back will settle down into your wrist and looks fine from each angle. I was offered several subs and sea dwellers before I bought this one. I am glad I waited.

It was missing on the introduction of the 126603 (2019-ish) and then I think it was dropped from the 126600 a couple of years later.

Actually Sea-Dweller is deleted altogether.
The DEEPSEA is being branded as a separate line entirely.
