Its called insurance. The related premiums are cheap for what you get on scheduled items listed on your home owners policy or a jewelry only policy.

The one I have will cover loss, theft etc. as well as repairs so if I drop my Day-Date, DateJust, Submariner, Exp II etc. and timing is off, crystal shatters or I break the band on a golf swing the policy will pay for new band and/or overhaul. These costs are covered up to the insured value. I always choose full replacement value cost so if I am ever robbed I get to go buy a new model exactly like what I have cash in hand minus a paltry 500 deductible.


Like I said, no brainer.

Not regularly. However London does have the highest phone thefts in Europe: 50k+ in 2023.
