You are talking about switching dials on your DD, but just how easy is it? Do they do that at the dealer or must you seek out the after market? I've lately been thinking about a bit more bling on mine.

I’m doing my switch with a private watchmen (I sourced the dial), switching dials is something relatively easy and the labor prerry inexpensive (like $50-100)

I’m just waiting to get a new macro lens for my camera and then I’d like to post a few pics of my Dd. In any event this system won’t let me upload pictures till I have 10 posts. I think I’m just about there though.

So Striking, making you turn around and look to see, “ was that a president...”

Congrats to all

I need to ask about fitment. I have worn a Gold Sub and occasionally I would adjust it

Does anyone ever have any issues with wanting to adjust but not having the ability to?

Mine A series Bark DD seems to be somewhat polarizing. People either love it or hate it. I'm in the former camp as I rarely see these in the wild. Condition is excellent btw and I have all of the boxes, papers, tags, etc. Attracts some attention but that's ok by me.

Hi correct 36mm DD red cherry in platinum. You need to see this dial in person to fully appreciate it.

What a beautiful watch. The cherry dial is really out of the ordinary.

Recent purchase of a President

Hello All,

I am new to this Forum so please forgive me if I ask my question in the wrong place.

I have just purchased a black dialled 1979 president ( it has only taken me 25 years to get the permission form my other half, after buying her a ladies oyster 24 years ago...)

Sorry I digress, my question is how do I know if the face was originally black or not and if the strap metal or leather?

I know you will ask for photos, but unfortunately the watch had to be returned for adjustment as it was loosing a couple of minutes a day.

Thanks in advance for your help and advice.

The easiest way is to bring to Rolex Sevice Centre to ask them to check.

Yes, I'd have trouble choosing between the two. Glad you have both, and I imagine you give them both the same amount of wrist time too, no? Or just one watch and you just swap dials ?? I'm curious as I'm thinking of a second dial for mine.
