People who like them and admire the look of the watch. Perhaps people who admire the complexity of the countdown timer. People who like the size and weight of the watch. I doubt many owners own a racing yacht harboured in the Grand Harbour of Monaco but there again how many people who own a DeepSea or SeaDweller have ever been in a sat chamber and required the use of a gas escape valve on their watch.
Does that answer your question? I suspect not the answer you wanted. And no I don't own one.

Personally I'd pass on the Air-King, Milgauss or Exp I.

Considering how many people don't like the YM II here, I'm surprised you don't see three in every AD collecting dust. OR, maybe they are the models that an AD forces a grey to buy in order to get a Daytona?

In men’s, I never cared for the Milgaus. When my husband bought his, I warned him I’d trade it as soon as he died, and that’s exactly what I did.

For me, I don’t like how silver or platinum look on me, so I stick to yellow gold. I would not get one of the new Pearlmasters, the diamonds are too much for me, as I tend to dress very casually. When dealing with a gold Rolex, I don’t care for dials that are white or champagne color.

In looking on the Rolex site, I’m pretty sure the Rolex I’d planned on next is no longer an option - 28mm gold DateJust with diamond bezel and violet or powder blue dial

None of the 6-digits (besides the Sea-Dwellers). Not that I don't like them, I just feel 5-digits look better and more elegant. YM2 is the only Rolex watch that I find pretty horrible. Almost all diamond versions too (except for the 16613 Serti Sub).

I would never buy:

Hulk, Cermit.

Ugly green bezel with grossly inflated grey price.

Rolex that you would never buy

I would never buy anything except for a SS Submariner, a SS GMT or a SS DSSD. The rest simply do not interest me in any way. Some are ok looking to me but have no use for me and are so much more expensive than they should be I would never consider buying them.

Cellini. At that price point, even if I need a dress watch badly, I'd go for some nice Patek Calatravas.

I can't say for now, it all depends on occasions and how much funds i have as a budget for watches.

I can’t imagine me wearing a Cellini. However, I would wear a AP Code 11.59 2020 in Burgundy. In my humble opinion, it’s incredibly beautiful. See Esquire the 61 best watches a man can buy in 2020. I agree with most of it.
