What a dial! The touches of red and blue just work. So difficult to source one of those. Really beautiful...

I've got my Grand Lange MP Platinum on hold with payment until a PT datograph comes in to compare the two.

Ken has only spectacular watches, I am still waiting for him to buy one that I don't like, not sure that will ever happen

Not sure but what is clear is that Lange movements are at the very top with Patek, the only negative aspect is that many of them are quite thick, other than that it's incredibly great pieces and unlike Patek they take a huge hit on resale, so if you buy it right you have a great bang for your buck, I think for my next purchase I'll probably go with a Datograph, the old version at 39mm, either that or a RG piece, probably Patek 5167R, but I think it will be the Datograph, you have a PT piece with incredible movement, hand wound, I love hand wound ones and the ALS are just amazing, saw IRL the datograph perpetual, spent more time looking at the movement than the dial, truly amazing, I would really like to get one some day, but not the PT version, the WG one, it has an awesome grey dial and is just a pure beauty

Lange movements are much more detailed and for me far nicer than Patek movements. I also think in terms of reliability they are at the top and I have never had an issue with one. They are hand made from start to finish with one watchmaker and quality is second to none IMHO.

IMO they are the most beautiful hand wound movements you can find, even the most beautiful PP is not as detailed, not all like that, remember a post here where a guy said he didn't like all the colors, and preferred by far the 5204 movement to the datograph, I prefer the dato...
