Steve, has Toyota/Lexas taken a hit with the re-call, I live in Santee where the New Lexas went out of control, crashed and burst into flames. That was really sad and I know Toyota/Lexas has had such a good customer base with good cars and trucks.

I am 33 and work for an investment firm in NYC speculating in commodities, currencies and interest rates as well as powerball lottos when the jackpot exceeds $100mm.
I had never bought anything (lacking a motor engine) that exceeds $1000 in my life until two years ago when I picked up a Cartier Santos 100. That was far and away the most expensive thing I had ever purchased. That was just eclipsed by a GMTIIc that I picked up 2 weeks ago. I am a former engineer and truly appreciate the craftsmanship and design that goes behind these automatic timepieces. I also own a Nixon Automatic Sr in addition to the Cartier and Rolex. Thinking about picking up a simple Panerai (111) or possibly a IWC Big Pilot but not sure if I need all these watches. I am really enjoying this forum. Some really great people on here. Glad to be onboard. |

Electrician. My first Sub was subjected to over a decadae of construction work which would have destroyed a lessor watch. There is nothing quite like running an electric jack hammer while wearing a Rolex.

I work as an Electrical Engineer working for the US Navy.
The current mix being a white face Daytona, Sea-dweller, 16610LV (on the way), Omega Broad Arrow, Sinn 857, but I just love my Fortis Cosmonauts in yellow gold with the Lemania 5100. Just really like the way the chronograph minute pivots from the center allowing you to see elapsed time at a glance. Those subdials are getting harder to see. |
