As for that second Japan goal, see the slo-mo?! The ball didn’t move an inch rotationally. The guy hit the middle of the middle of the ball. Impossible to hit it any sweeter than that. What a goal.

Even if every single match from the QF onwards is 0-0 and England go out tomorrow on penalties (again) this has been the best WC of my lifetime.

2-0 Japan, masterful goals, and my mind is blown at this nutty, nutty World Cup. Belgium is missing the good opportunities and it's going to cost them.

It’s really is nutty! I may have seen better technical skills from another World Cup, but as far as surprises and keeping me entertained, this is amazing

2-2, just like that. Belgium making a game of it. Let's see if Japan has the same fight.

Japan is playing with a precision and alacrity in decision-making that is next level and fun to watch. I would not be surprised if they win it all in the near future.

I like your style Gerardo.

As someone who has never watched a soccer before these WC games have been fantastic to watch. My wife and I are really enjoying these games. Only got into watching because our son started playing soccer.

The Japan goalie deserves some ice cold sake after this game. Nice saves.

It's a beautiful game. And matches like the one currently being played are "fútbol" at it's absolute finest.

Best of luck to your son! Please support him 100% and if he is talented, send him to a good soccer school somewhere in Europe or South America.

Hahahaha my adrenaline is through the roof.

WHAT AN END TO THIS!!!! PERFECTION, absolutely technical perfection. From De Bruyne's pass, to the through the legs through pass and Lukaku not being selfish....absolutely unreal. WOW!

Honda's free kick right before that, was going in too! That was a fantastic free kick!
