Gorgeous. Has anyone noticed that our beloved SD4k appears to be getting more chatter around it, or is it just me

Just saw this on the display at the Frankfurt Airport (exhibition only piece); seems to be a NOS SD4K (no red lettering on dial so not an SD43)

Nah, not an SD4K.

It’s got “original escape valve” on the inner ring rather than the repeating “Rolex,” which is found on the SD4K. Looks like the standard Deep Sea.

It also shows 12,800ft vs the SD4K’s 4000ft.

Curious: does the 116600 have the same bracelet and clasp as the 116610? What about then 16610 vs 16600?

116600 & 116610, yes they are the same apart from only difference being 116600 comes with a Fliplock as well.

Not sure about the five digits ones.

Actually the end links not the same due to the case differences.

Submariner 116610 uses bracelet ref. 97200
Includes 12 full links plus 1 half link

Sea-Dweller 116600 uses bracelet ref. 97400
Includes 11 full links and 1 fliplock diver's extension

Correct. The 116600 had the ‘waterfall’ end links which i remember the 116506 also having at the time. I think from memory the design was (rightly) ditched and these were the only two watches that had this curious design, although suspect there are folk on here with more knowledge that will likely correct me!

N86 came with the 116600 - is this bezel protector the wrong one? (Not that it matters!)
