Greetings everyone, I am in the market for a 36mm Platinum DD. I have found quite a few available in the low $20's-most a decade ish old.

My question is how does platinum stand up to normal wear and tear(for those that wear regularly). Does the band tend to stretch slower than gold? Not really concerned with scratches because that is going to occur regardless.

Thanks in advance-Scott

I've had my Pt DD 36 for about a year. Wear it often and no issues - also have a WG DD 36 and wore daily for a couple years. No stretch on either.

The weight difference between the two is very noticeable. Find a 6 digit with updated clasp and rehaut (the best of the 36mm IMO).

Happy hunting!!

Does the current DD 36 have solid links on the bracelet?

Yes, since about 2000 or so. The 6-digit reference is the tell (118238 vs 18238) as an example.

I say buy it, good ones(mint+papers/box and no stretch bracelets) are hard to find!
greets G.
Stretch bracelets are now a thing of the past with the new ceramic inserts in the links of the DD40. No more internal wear.
