Long live the fever for the Explorer 36. One of the least recognised Rolex sports watches, but my all-time favourite.

Nice. That's the first 14270 I've seen with actual patina.

Just back from Rolex Service: full regular servicing, new crown, sapphire, no polishing, took about 8 weeks and I couldn't be happier.

New to me this one. I've only bought 36mm or 34mm Rolexes over the years.

Can you confirm is the Wimbledon Dial datejust a 36mm version??
Its clearly a bigger wearing watch than the Explorer 36mm. I have a OP 126000 and a TT explorer. Been looking to add a Mint green dial Datejust, but don't want a watch that wears bigger.

This watch looks fantastic I’ve always thought the 36 would look small but it looks perfect here

It is in fact the 36mm Wimbledon dial Date Just. I'd say it wears slightly larger than the Explorer, but I think in this picture it looks much bigger due to the angle. I've actually moved the DJ to a new home because I had a heck of a hard time telling the time on it. My eyes have really gone in the last few years.

Conversely, the new Explorer is like HD TV. It's so unbelievably clear and easy to read.

I would recommend trying on the 36mm DJ, but I think you'll find it wears really well.

I had a 39mm Explorer I, a friend asked me how I would describe it and I told him the best compliment I can give is that it's a wristwatch through and through. It does what a watch is supposed to do (tell the time) the best of almost any watch I've worn. The legibility was amazing.

Good to see the 36mm version is also awesome in the legibility department.
