Definitely nothing top heavy about this one. It is very proportionate with the smaller bracelet compared to the 41mm. It took me about 5 seconds to get used to the smaller size and now I prefer it just like I prefer the Daytona over the maxi case rolex watches. They are very similar in size.

Finally picked up my 42mm ti ROO today, can't wait to get it on the white rubber strap. I'll post an incoming thread when I get it on, definitely was pleasantly surprised, great summer watch.

Had an absolute field day at my dealer trying on a bunch of different watches, was trying to decide on 5164 vs 5990. Fun day!

Pre-owned, it is one of my grey dealers I work with in LA, has over 30 in demand pateks in stock, APs and even a platinum daytona arabic dial which was fun to see in person. Always a dangerous visit that enables the next purchase, I'm sure his plan all along.

Two completely different watches. The 5740 is my absolute favorite Nautilus, the weight/balance of the WG in the slim case is unprecedented. I know everyone says WG looks like SS but maybe it is my eyes, the WG looks more warm and inviting. Beautiful and dynamic blue dial, more vibrant than the 5711 for reference. Not to mention it is a QP! It would be the only watch I would trade my jumbo in for which says a lot. Personally I find more "relative" value justifying that for $240k than I can for the SS 5990.

I've previously owned a 5980 and was looking for a new gmt to replace my VC OS, debating between the 5990 and 5164. The 5990 felt similar to the 5980, a little bit thicker case wise, I've seen a lot of people complain the 5990 is too chunky but it really isn't and my wrists aren't that big, wears fine. The dial is too cluttered and the color is nothing special. Also the pushers on the left side of the case, that move the gmt hand, are very sensitive and I could see being annoyed that it is accidentally pressed (note this was a preowned 5990). I travel often overseas, I am not sure I would feel comfortable wearing the 5990. Didn't walk away overly impressed, especially for $120k grey pricing, honestly preferred the 5980. The 5164 wore a bit too small for my taste but for a gmt travel I preferred that to the 5990 and I think more room for appreciation given the 50k delta to the 5968a chrono, that gap will probably close in time.

5740 will always reign as the king in the line for me.
