The deepsea that my lovely wife got me! I think it went well with my suit and everything else for that matter

I married in 1973, and my old beloved 5513 was on my wrist.

I lost that great watch during an armed robbery I suffered in 1977, and replaced it with a 1978 vintage 5513 and a 1977 vintage 1680 both I still own.

Very cordially, Abel

This one, a college graduation gift......At the time, I just thought of it as just a "nice" watch, and, luckily, formal enough to wear to my wedding. I was anything but a WIS back then and wasn't very tuned into "ROLEX" like I am now, which was good, because, worrying about what watch to wear would have been one thing too many for me! LOL...

1st - Sub Date, which I bought with her engagement ring.
2nd - TT Blue Sub, because I got both her and the watch by being lucky.

Hmmm....you flipped her engagement ring for a Sub Date? I'm no psychic and I'm definitely no relationship expert, but, I can imagine why things didn't work out!

I wore my Milgauss 6541. It was 7 months old at the time (1966). Both the watch and the marriage are working well. Someday I will figure out how to post pictures.

I'm hoping to wear my dad's air king date! Will post pictures if I do - although it is a year from now, I hope to have my own by then as well!

It was 16 years ago and I honestly don't remember, but I'm almost sure I wasn't wearing one. I became a WIS about a year later when I purchased my first Rolex, a SS DJ.

My father-in-law had given me a gold OMEGA Geneve Automatic watch on strap. That's what I wore on my wedding day.

Sadly, it got stolen about 12 years later.

I'm not positive, but probably my Heuer Carrera automatic chrono like this one, it was the only nice watch I had at the time.

Omega Speedmaster

I no longer have the watch but I still have the wife.
I wore, with a dark suit in the judge's office, an Omega Speedmaster 18K/SS on a tan strap. It was my only "good" watch at the time.
I received the Speedmaster in trade for a Leica camera lens from someone in Italy.
I have acquired many watches since them but no more wives.
