Love my TT Slate Daytona, I agree it's not as "sporty" as SS, But I already got a SS GMT Master... wanted something more to go with my "Grey" Hair...

I loved the 16613 for the week that I owned it, I just didn't love it on my wrist. That blue is still one of the best dials that rolex ever made. I wonder how a 16613 would have looked in wg...

Yes, the TT look is a classic in a Blue sub (pre-ceramic) and I really like the
TT YM with the white maxi dial and the TT Daytona with the white dial or the TT GMT IIc with the black/gold bezel and the TTDJ II with the white roman IV dial. Ok, so yes, they are in, always have been . . . just depends on your personal energizing preference!

Hi guys i have got to say i love the TT, i have just sold my 2002 TT BLUE SUBMARINER in good condition which i have had on my wrist constantly for 8 years to my mate who was happy to pay me £3500.00. The watch was purchased by me from the AD brand new for £3000.00 with 2 extra links, i have kept the links and had 8 years trouble free service from the watch and still returned £500.00 more than i paid for it, i would not have got that kind of intrest from the bank. It is rubbish when people say TT dont hold there money, if you keep the watch long enough you will get your money back and in some cases make a profit, in my opinion stainless stee watches are no better for depreciation, i have just ordered a brand new TT black ceramic submariner with an extra link and o have got excellent discount, i know in 5 to 8 years time if i whant i will get my money back and maybe even a proffit. TT RULES. HA HA

Sorry but there is no bad rolex, there are just the people who carry them off wrong, everyone is an individual, they decide on there own likes and dislikes, thats like saying all stainless steel rolexs are common because nearly everybody has one, or stainless steel rolexs are for the poor end of the market, or people who wear stainless steel rolexs can not afford the TT model or the gold models because they are more expensive, we all dig rolexs, or we wouldnt be spending time on this forum, Oh and before some one has a pop at me for speaking my mind, I own a stainless Ceramic Deep Sea, an 18ct everose gold day date with a diamond and meteorite dial, an 18ct ceramic all gold blue kit submariner and i have a TT black ceramic submariner ordered and on its way. And i have just sold my TT blue 2002 submariner. So my tastes are across the board. CHEERS

I don't think two tone watches will ever be out of style, the day they are out of style is when gold is no longer worn, that hasn't happened in the past thousand years. with that said, I don't wear gold because I feel I'm to young to wear it, when I wear my dad's tt YM, which is a very classy watch, I feel it does not fit my personality/style yet.

I like TT, it will go with everything either casually or dressy.
My wedding ring is gold and I also wear a gold signet ring, so the TT gives a good balance.. I actally dont know how I will feel with just a SS watch now. |

I LOVE my TT Blue Sub. Just enough bling factor without crossing the "tatty" king midas line. GO FOR IT.

I think TT has never been out of fashion since its inception. But to me, TT means loud, or 'bling', and so far only Rolex has mastered the TT design. Just my 2 cents
Here's a TT DJII :) |

I chuckle a little every time someone says they are "too young" to wear gold. we're not talking orthopedic shoes here, this is precious metal and Swiss watches. There is no age associated with gold, platinum or steel, at least in my humble opinion.

Never went out, still in for the right moment. Bought my first six months ago and love it, not as a everyday watch but for the odd night out.

Have owned several SS rolexes but never a TT but am very tempted now to pull the trigger on a TT black sub. By the way Im 45 but a very young 45 at least in mind! TT black/gold sub is just the right combination of class and precious metal. The bluesy( old colour dial ) too is a fantastic dial but maybe too on the blingy side but hey thats just IMHO.
A poll on this would be really cool. |

Couldn't agree with you more, the black TT Sub is a gorgeous watch. This beauty will most likely leave for the UK this week. |

I think it is not a question to be in or out, it is a question of personal taste.
Personally, I don't like them. For me, the combination of the colours "silver" and "gold" doesn't work: It is like dressing up in green and blue.... Tom |
