It is despicable when people can make fun of a horrible situation like this, not only has Japan suffered, so has other countries, and the ocean.

I do not think people are amused at the situation that arose. Most people here understand the seriousness and do well
what they can to help. Then can not the rest of the world bury themselves in sorrow, but we all have a day to deal with.
Therefore, there will always joking matter what happens. Then of course go to extremes and I think no one here wants.
We will all feel better if we get a laugh sometimes to be sad and bitter do just heavier tomorrow. Although it is difficult
to find bright spots right now, they will be found afterwards. I wish all struck a success even if it feels heavy right now.

I'm very sorry if I have hurt anybody's feelings and apologize if so.

Jocke

It's just not funny now, Jocke; not funny at all; but thanks anyway.

I'm disappointed with this thread and this forum. I really don't get this cavalier attitude toward what has happened.

This crisis is just not even close to over. It might look from afar like it's over and just a matter of dealing with the aftermath; but it doesn't look that way at all if you live here. Trust me on that. Every time we have a severe jolt, as we did last night, the first thing we do is check to see if Fukushima Daiichi is still relatively stable.

I am not an alarmist; I am a realist. I am still here; not one of the "Fly-gin" who fled the country. I am also not stupid; however, and there is a death machine still out of control 160 miles from here and anyone who fails to see that is just not looking.

When I see the small children near that plant, I want to see them laugh, but they will never joke about disfigurement or mutations. Like the children of the black rain, many of them may have to live with those kinds of fears for many years when the dust settles here and the full impact is assessed.

X2 I do not see anything funny at all, I am watching Japan all the time. The poor people who have to recover the bodies, clean up is a mental job, not to mention the people who watched people wash away in front of them.

It is real difficult for the people not living in the affected area to understand the real danger we are all in. Until all the reactors are 100% under full control no one is safe. A camera was used to see inside the damage reactors over the weekend.

Japan has raised the nuclear threat level to a 7 which is the highest threat level I believe. Also they expanded the mandatory evacuation zone. This just seems to never end.

Heartbreaking to see the starving dogs and cats left behind by their owners as the were forced to leave thier homes and not allowed to take their pets. Dogs tied up still on thier leashes unable to roam free and look for any food available.

A failing on my part...this is the first time I've opened this thread.

I will be the last to post on it. I can't believe the callousness of some. There's a time and place to have fun. This is neither the time nor the place.
