Not at surprising as it used to be. I will say that we did get the official Rolex pricing catalog this morning, and the Daytona will be $11,250 as of the 10th.

Went to my AD told her that I wanted a white SS daytona, 2 weeks later, it's on my wrist!!!

The wait is obviously dependent on the customer. A customer that is new to an AD will likely have to wait some time (unless they get really lucky). A regular customer to a an AD will probably get it pretty quickly if they want it.

The economy has made it fairly easy to buy 116520's from AD's here in the US. I could have a black dial today if I wanted it. When I bought my white dial in 08 it was from an AD that I had no purchase history with. I just walked in & asked if they had one in the safe, simple as that. Now prior to the recession I looked for a year or so with no luck. With the latest price increase I expect they'll be even easier to find.
