very curious to see your opinions after you've contributed and absorbed the information around here for a while (below is just recounting not looking for politics thread and not suggesting any of my opinions) when bush was interviewed by larry king after obamas successful bid for president... -larry asked bush if there were any hard feelings working with obama after the campaign obama ran (much of it blasting bush's politics) -bush replied with such a casual tone... after obama is brought up to speed at his post inauguration briefing... i believe he will have some very different opinions....

SD all the way. I'm planning to make mine a lifetime wearer, how's that for a bold statement!

Rubbish. I owned a Sea Dweller and when the DSSD came out...guess what? I sold the SD and bought the DSSD. I haven't regretted the decision at all. In fact, I LIKE A BIGGER WATCH. That's right. I am one of those guys who prefers a watch bigger than 40mm. That might not agree with some sensibilities around here but larger watches are here to stay it seems. The analogy with politics was a bit dramatic if I must say.

DSSD. You'll never use it to it's maximum specs but how cool is it to wear a watch that will do what the DSSD will do. Just to say the watch you have on will withstand 12,000 feet is enough for me!

I own both, but would go for the SD.
Classic and understated and easy wear daily, even in a Tux. No longer made and IMHO will increase in value.
